Tramadol fine for taking after big night on mephedrone/alcohol?

Sorry for the extra thread but I searched a few topics on "Tramadol" and couldn't find the answer I was looking for (pretty scattered!!)

Anyway, I'd say I probably had maybe 700 - 1000 mg mephedrone up the nose over the course of last night whilst belligerently drunk. It's now been 7/8 hours since my last line and I was tapering the lines right down to teeny tiny ones at the end anyway as my nose was clogged.

I haven't continued drinking or taken any 5-htp, in fact all I've done is snooze all day.


Now, I've got like 400 mg Tramadol (50 mg caps) and I'm just wondering what's a safe dose to take if it is safe to take after shitting out all my seratonin last night. I'm a pretty big guy and occasionally indulge in 100mg codeine, but that's all the opiates I take...

I also have enough buds to keep me occupied so I'll be rolling up a doobie shortly as well in the quest for a clearer head.

I honestly don't know but I wouldn't think taking that many drugs can be good for you and your brain.
Tramadol has a seizure risk and I'm sure adding stuff to it could lower the seizure threshold (aka make you more likely to have one)

If you decide to you might want to take a benzo to avoid having one but you do also risk CNS depression...

Yeah, my brain was struggling this morning, I'm feeling a lot better after sleep though!

Might just take 2 and have a joint and see how that goes. I've never had any history of seizures so a relatively low dose seems safe from what I've read in the other topics.

edit - And if I had benzos I wouldn't bother with the trams!

I definitely wouldn't... but presume you already have so hope you're not feeling as shitty as I would expect. Trams and stims really don't mix and those nasty meph metabolites linger for days after use.

Looks like it's a bit late for reply now- but for future I wouldn't mix tramadol with stims. Don't want to put your body through more than necessary. You probably COULD be just fine with the combo, but maybe not (you know?). Just be safe, do what you believe is good for 'you'. Do you have much tramadol experience? Have you combined it with anything before?

You say you've used codeine on occasion so I'm not really sure. My guess is you're a big guy with a low tolerance to opiates. So: Save the trams (an SNRI) for another time and enjoy them on their own.

I had two, then had a joint, then went to bed. I can't actually remember much because I hadn't slept more than an hour or so up til that point and I was pretty baked. I do remember feeling the trams kick though, got a little bit rushy.

Might play around with the other 6 today as I'm feeling like a normal functioning member of society again - Big guy with a low tolerance to opiates sounds about right, although as I later read opiates and synthetic opiods aren't that similar

It's the SNRI effects of tramadol that are most different and most important to be aware of - as an opioid it's of similarish strength to DHC so not a huge risk of OD or owt, I'd say. The opioid effects are not a big issue unless you're dosing so high that the other effects (the seizure risk in particular) are more of a problem. It has an almighty list of dangerous (as in potentially fatal) interactions which you need to check out before mixing it with anything. Very messy drug but also very nice if you "get it".
