first time taking Tram, i took 150mg and felt nothing except a wee bit of a headache and slight nausea.

second time, i took 300mg and a curious thing happened. apart from the nausea, i felt a light kind of mdma high (with that little bit of swallowing reflex u get when rolling) and was very sexual.

since that second time, have not experienced the mdma feeling (not willing to increase the dose). just an ever so slight body high and the usual slight headache. combined with cannabis and a nice cabernet, the trams are of some use (albiet, limited).

I basically had to babysit a friend who took way too much, and he was acting like a combination of someone who is really drunk, and someone whose having a bad dxm trip. And he had horrible stomach pains and nauseua, and he threw up once after trying to gag himself for hours because his stomach hurt so bad.
Not. Fun.

I took 150mg earlier today and I got one of the best, longest highs I've ever experienced. I'm kind of cautious to try it again though, because of stories like the one above me.

same experience here. the first few times i tried tramadol i had a pretty high opiate tolernace, and it made feel this very strong high, that was part opiate and part mdma. in fact it got so intense that 2nd time, that during the comedown i had a nervous breakdown because of withdrawing from strong opiates as well. tramadol can make you jittery, and it has a comedown, no doubt. i think its pointless and nasty. its like benzos. easy to get, not that fun, usually better than nothing., but worse withdrawal than heroin.

Worse withdrawal than heroin, wow......I never tried Tramadol but was given some Trams a few years back & I just passed them on to my gf. I wasnt taking opiates at the time but I have asked several people that have taken them & it seems thats its a 50/50 thing where half like them & the other half dont like them so I never cared to try them.

Only time I ever had tramadol was conveniently during one of my withdrawals. I only took like 100-200mgs max (dont think i ever went over that, and average i took probably 150mg) and I gotta say it got rid of quite a few, if not all, of my W/D.

It also got me kinda "high" even though I was tolerant to opiates. I guess they have somewhat of a cross tolerance but like everyone says, and id have to agree, tramadol gets you high via other mechanisms too. This is probably why I could feel a "high" even though at doses like that with an opiate tolerance i shouldn't have been high from the opiate effects alone.

It was a weird high. I cannot even put it in words really. Also the pills tasted really bad I noticed; maybe that was just the brand I got (mylan i believe) but they tasted bad and left a bad aftertaste.

This was durin the past winter like november I believe.

I learned to really appreciate Tramadol over the years, for both legitimate medical reasons and purely recreational.

The first time I took it I didn't have an opiate habit so I felt the opiate effects plus some stimulation, I enjoyed it but felt a little odd and disconnected.

The next time I came across it was when I was in opiate withdrawal and it helped ALOT, it really brightened my mood and helped with the wd's from Poppy Tea and Vicodin. I think it's a good med to have around but I wouldn't want to get addicted to it, I could see how the wd from it could be as maddening as benzos and torturish as opiates....

The longest I've ever used it daily was for a month about a year ago.
