Tramadol Daily Dose

I know that it is not safe to take more than 400 mg in one dose due to seizure issues, but today I have been taking tramadol periodically. I started with 200 mg then maybe 2 hrs later i took another 100 mg. Then about 2 hrs later I took another 100. And another 100 about 2 hours after that. (Total of 500 mgs so far today). I was wondering if it is safe for me to take another 50-100 mg to go to sleep as the effect has diminished significantly. Other info, I am on a recreational dose of neurontin right now. The info that I am looking for is what a safe daily dose of tramadol is.
 
As you stated the maximum dose in 24 hours is 400mg and seizure risk goes up above that threshold. Neurontin is an anti convulsant so that is helpful but no one can tell you it's safe to take more since your already over at 500. Stay safe.
 
Agreed. Don't take anymore. While you may want to nod, the risk of having a seizure is far greater and increases exponentially the more you take. Just stay safe.
