Opioids Tramadol brain damage?

Alright, so, I took expired tramadol.

It was expired by about 3 years. Me and another friend decided to take it as there wasnt much left, and I have had nothing but amazing experiences on tramadol. Nodding a bit, but it was more the intense love and happiness I feel for everyone while on them.

so anyway, we took a pretty low dose, 125mg. No mixing, nothing. Needless to say, it was another glowing experience, absolutely amazing. Every time i take these, when I sleep it goes away, with only a bit of a hangover the next day.

It's been 4 days and we both still feel the emotional effects of it. We were both nodding all the next day, and randomly I will start nodding, not very hard, but it happens. I have gotten plenty of sleep and still feel it. I'm not really complaining, because I like it, but it can be annoying when you know that in a certain situation you should be angry, but can only be happy.

Anyone have a clue as to what's happened?
 
It's called enjoying the experience, not brain damage. You know how people feel better for a few days after a night at the spa or a really good massage? That's probably what's going on.

If the least of your worries is that you feel too happy, you're fine.

Oh, i'm not worried. It's just, as good of an experience, I've had better, and nothing like this has happened. Either way, I'm thankful it has, just wondering why. Brain damage was a bit of a misleading way to put it, i guess. Just wondering if this is permanent, as I feel like a completly different person. If this was the best experience I had had on it, then that's understandable, but there has been better, and at higher doses.
 
It's an exclusively psychiatric effect, there is no pharmacological basis that tramadol or any of its metabolites would hang around longer than a few days. Unless you're chronically consuming your own urine.

Get into the stock market if you want to be depressed... I still don't see how having a good mood most of the time is a bad thing.
 
Hmm.......never had an afterglow from Tramadol but we are all different. I use to get afterglows for several days on mushrooms, those were awesome!
 
I have also heard of 'afterglows' from dissociative drugs, notably DXM, though I don't know how much of that you can attribute to metabolites hanging around.

I cant speak for the OP, but trust me, it gets really annoying constantly hugging everything and nodding every once in a while. I get headaches sometimes too. I also dont like the idea of just being like this forever.

What is the maximum amount of time an afterglow could last?

On the many times I have done trams, I've never gotten an afterglow.

I don't want to be depressed. I guess the title was a bit misleading. I'm glad I feel this way, wether or not I've messed up my brain. I'm just curious as to why this happened?
