Tramadol boost

Hello, im a 16 year old male (75 kg). I took 100mg tramadol about a week ago and got a slight buzz, im planning on popping it again this weekend only i want to boost it.

Im thinking i should take 200mg this time while combining that with 25mg of Atarax (Hydroxyzine), 400mg of ibuprofen and 1g of weed(smoking it).
Will the Atarax do anything for me or is it a spoil?

(Im sorry if i screwed the prefix, im not exactly sure what Tramadol is, its an opoid right?)

Tramadol is indeed an opioid but has other mechanisms of action as well. Personally I like to read up and understand how drugs work before consuming them.

The ibuprofen will do nothing but maybe irritate your GI tract.
The hydroxyzine will make you feel more sedated and less itchy.
The weed is not contraindicated but could feel different than usual due to tramadol's non opioid action.

As it seems you are trying to ask more about potentiating subjective effects and not actual promote tramadol's, or interfere with O-Desmethyltramadol's, metabolization I'll swing this over to BDD for you where it belongs.

I edited out the flak in the thread. It was generated because you had consumed 100mg of a drug when you didn't even know what type it was and were thinking of taking ibuprofen which has absolutely zero recreational value. Asking on Bluelight and doing some research before taking chemicals is a good change in this behaviour though so kudos for that.

staggering your tramadol dose seems to help increase the opioid effect since it takes time for the liver to metabolize it--I guess taking it all at once maybe is too much for the liver to do?

I've had success with taking 50mg at half-hour or 45 minute intervals and usually feel the opiate effects about two hours after the final dose.

And major props to moderator amapola; I really appreciate all your patient responses!

Thank you for a very giving answer, i asked about the ibuprofen because i read in another forum that it gave some guy using tramadol a great boost. It was problary just in his head though.

Hydroxyzine i guess could be a good add sine alot of people experience itching at higher doses of tramadol, but since im just taking 200mg it shouldnt be a problem so i could just leave it, a good thought for future use though.

What exactly do you mean the ibuprofen whould irritate my GI tract, could it make me throw up? Also, what do you mean by this: "tramadol's non opioid action", either its my english wich is not good enough, or it is my knowledge of anatomy that is lacking.

Also, even though i didn't know everything(anything) about the drug scientifically, i read several trip-reports before popping.

It was just in his head, no probably about it. Ibuprofen is not psychoactive, end of story.

Hydroxyzine is good for potentiating the opiate effects of tramadol. In regards to the non-opioid action, he was referring to tramadol's SNRI effect. The details of which can be found on the wikipedia article for tramadol that was linked earlier.

Ibuprofen can cause stomach ulcers or general stomach irritation, which can lead to nausea or possibly vomiting at high doses. There is no point in taking ibuprofen with tramadol, don't do it.

When i took the 100mg the effect took about twenty minutes to half an hour before kicking in. And after 2-3 hours i started to lose the high, and maybe 3 hours after that i was slowly starting to experience the (terrible) afterglow.

Taking it 50mg every half an hour could be a good idea to make it easier on the liver, thanks for the tip. The question i was getting at: does taking a higher dose increases the duration of the high?

Any time tramadol comes up I like to mention that one of its biggest problems is its lowering of the seizure threshold. Weed and hydroxine are not bad choices for mixing with tramadol but alcohol is really not good to mix with it. People with any history of seizure problems ought skip tram and if anyone is taking anything else that lowers seizure threshold, like welbutrin for instance, it would be better to pass on tramadol.
 
^i actually had my only seizure while i was on tramadol + alcohol+ weed...i still take it from time to time but only with klonopin + lyrica
 
I took 150mg yesterday, more whould be too much. I didnt smoke any weed neither. Tram has never had such an effect on me before, i ended up liying on a bench outside some house for over 2 hours.

It was great just lying there opening and closing my eyes every 30 minutes or so, i think with weed it can be pretty awesome because i noticed that it was more of a body-high. I didnt feel euphoria except for when it first kicked in.
