Tramadol as a stimulant

That's a lot of strange stories about Gabapentin. I find this drug to be the second most magical elixir after Ketamine. It makes my mood perpetually stable and keeps me in a positive, motivated mindset. Too bad its so fucking expensive :(.
 
Gabapentin is a miracle drug in some ways. I feel more "stable" on it, my nerve pain is nearly eliminated, it makes me feel motivated, and it lasts a long time. I was prescribed gabapentin for bipolar disorder long before I decided I wanted to try it for the nerve pain-killing effect.
I've since had alot of experience with pregabalin (Lyrica), and it seems to be better than gabapentin in every way. But if you thought Neurontin was expensive...!!! This shit would cost me like 500 bucks a month if I didn't have help from a certain organization.

I wish I had some tramadol right now. It's not like you can just ask your dealer to find you some Ultram. I've gotten more than my fair share of funny looks for that one.
 
I used to able to get blister packs of it for free from my friend's mom who was a nurse. That was fun. I had no opiate tolerance at the time.
 
I would do something somewhat moderately extreme to get some tramadol right now. Have a script, just can't get it yet.

I wish they would make it OTC. But then I might end up dead.

I was told by one of the pharmacists at a local pharmacy that it's a VI. I didn't even know it went up that high, but, w/e.

It just pisses me off that in some countries it's an OTC.



And I love love love tramadol. It gets rid of my pain, though I abuse it. I take 200mg around 3-4 times a day.

And I've also been told that you can take up to 600mg intravenously without any ill side-effects. So, meh, w/e. I wish I could find a doctor that owuld just prescribe me the tramadol I want.
 
I would steer clear of the tramadol ladies and gents, it's a strange one. Every time I've taken it, I thought 'this is having no effect" until i either (A) tried to have a conversation with someone - impossible, i couldn't form sentences at all, or (B) went to sleep - and had the weirdest dreams I've ever had. Feels like a total shell around you, really weird, different from a lot of other drugs. Good for pain (so says my mum) but not recommended for recreation. Although my colleague swears it's better than diazepam...

I've had the effect before where I thought I was slurring and I would ask my friends and they said I was acting normal. I even thought I was fucking up my sentence structure but I was told I was just high.

Tramadol isn't for everyone. I would hate to be one of the sad bastards that has a massive seizure from taking it their first time. But I'll probably keep taking it until it happens to me, too. Which I hope it won't.
 
My friend (with absolutely ZERO tolerance) swears that snorting tramadol works (I tried a very small line before backing down, it burns too much) but orally it didn't affect him, although he seems to be addicted to methcat (which burns the crap out of you) so it might just be reaffirming to him. I've had a few IM vials of 100mg/shot Tram in hospital, it was quite a bit more of an opiate feeling (numb, warm) then normal but I also had a lowish tolerance at that stage.

It motivates me and makes me very sharp but I totally agree on the sleeping thing. Took 200mg this morning after reading through this thread, and when I eventually got to sleep at 10:00 this morning (it's 13:10 here now), I dreamt about people chasing me for 2 hours and then woke up.
 
All this talk about seizures...Has anybody in here actually had one from taking Tramadol? How real is the danger of seizing when using less than 400 mg (and above)?

Never had one, and I dose MUCH higher than 400mg (not dicksizing, I am a tramadol addict). Right now I'm putting together a trip report for tramadol stimulation. Got a bunch more today! W00t!
 
Do you guys have a comedown after taking such high doses? I get a little skitzo after taking 200 mg throughout the day, but I am very inexperienced with this stuff, so it may just be an adjusment issue.

Can you take benzos when using that much Tramadol?
 
It gets better the more you take IMO, I've also taken large doses but the danger can outweigh the benefits at a certain point, rather get something else if you are desperate. How likely you are to have a seizure is very dependent on your individual threshold and what meds you take with it. Amps or coke will make you more prone (even fatal - ODB), whereas Lyrica and KPins (which I take) offer some degree of protection (although they *don't* make you invincible). 400mg/24h is the safe dose but if you are on some other meds or prone, even this dose may be unsafe.
 
PillThrill - Yeah, I have gotten to a high enough dose a few times that I had to lay down or I would certainly have puked. But this only happens when I take about a gram with no tolerance. Not a smart idea anyways, so I don't do it anymore. Recently, I took 750mg over the course of like 9 hours, and I felt fucking great, like an almost rolling-type sensation. I went to a strip club for the first time that night, and couldn't get a boner to save my life. Then again, I'm not really a horndog, but when a woman is grabbing your crotch and humming on your dick, you would think something might happen. Nope. Still had a great night, though.

I have not ever had a comedown from tramadol, because by the time its effects have lessened to the point where I can sleep, I still strongly feel the zombie/antidepressant effects.
Benzos are great with tramadol, one of the few cases where a lower dose of a benzo actually has a better effect than a higher one. With no tolerance to benzos or tramadol, if I take 1mg clonazepam + 150mg tramadol, I am seriously blissful like I'm on a decently high dose of morphine or oxycodone. That's just me, though, YMMV.
