Tramadol Apex

Hello I’ve stumbled upon some Tramadol “Apex” tablets 20mg that were prescribed to a dog who no longer needs them. Are they just normal Tramadol HCL and safe for human consumption? The bottle says not for human consumption but I assume they put all pet medications in bottles that say that anyway.

They are most likely safe for humans. Be aware that tramadol is an snri as well as an opioid so it will interact with some drugs like an snri would. Tramadol also caries a risk of seizures but these are usually only seen at doses above 300mg.
