Tramadol and SSRIs?

I've been on 10mg Lexapro daily for a few months. In this period, I have also rolled a few times and tripped many. Before I roll, I quit taking the lexapro for a few days to a week, and have never had any problems. I've had very strong rolls in that period, but know I could roll harder if I abstained from the Lexapro longer.

My question is that I would like to take Tramadol tonight but know it has dangerous interactions with SSRIs and I risk SS. But my dose of Lexapro seems to be low, considering I can still roll and all. Plus, I have not taken it for about 3 days. Would it be safe to take Tramadol?

Also, I am not depressed, I don't really know why I am on Lexapro, but not taking it for a few days has never shown any bad effects in me.

Lexapro can be prescribed to help with OCD symptoms or anxiety at times. I encourage anyone who is unsure about why something is prescribed to them to ask their doctor or other health care providers.

Tramadol is a SNRI on its own in addition to being an opioid, the standard SNRI warnings apply.

My husband takes paxil 40mg a day, he still takes 2 tramadols a day. He has never had a problem. He does know the risk and he does not parachute them together. Takes the paxil at night and tramadol mid morn. Its the ir paxil. It scares me but he has back pain and likes its uppy effects. I would say your pretty safe so long as you take a normal dose of 100mgs or less.
