Tramadol and MDMA

ok so i sometimes take tramadol for back pain. it works really good. even better than opiates IMHO. but i think i read something that said if you take tramadol that you shouldnt take MDMA. it this true? if so how long should i wait after taking tramadol? is it kinda like if you take anti depressants? any info on the matter would be very helpful. thanks guys/girls.
 
NO NO NO Do not mix these - Tramadol induces serotonin release, and inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine. Tramadol is also molecularly similar to venlafaxine (Effexor) and has similar SNRI effects. Taking them together could result in serotonin syndrome which can be fatal.
 
Never ever mix mdma and tramadol. There is a very good chance you will get a seizure and serotonin syndrome.

Heed their words, this is why i love bluelight, i mean. Not everyone knows you shouldnt mix things like that and this site is very informative and it is full of people who do actually care and will help people to make safer decisions.

yeah thats awesome you guys. thank all of you for your help. i had a feeling that it was a bad idea to mix them. oh an just a side note. anyone taking tramadol should be careful in general even if your not mixing it. it can cause seizures if you take more than 300mg in a day. i took way too much recently and had a bad seizure and had to go to the emergency room. i know its kinda off topic but i figure in the name of harm reduction i should mention my recent bad experiences with high doses of tramadol. im not saying its a very dangerous drug an to not take it, but dont over do it. tramadol is not joke and can cause seizures in high doses. the day i had a seizure from the tramadol i had taken well over 500mg. be careful everyone and PLUR.
