Opioids Tramadol and Alprozolam interactions?

What is the interaction between a mix of Alprozolam and Tramadol? Anything worth bothering with? Would 100mg of tramadol and say .5 to 1mg of Alprozolam give a decent feeling to someone with little tolerance to either? If so, would this be relatively safe? Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, that's a very nice combo; plus the alprazolam will cut down the seizure risk tramadol poses. I'm on 600mg of tramadol (don't do this) right now plus some gabapentin. Tramadol works great with practically any GABA-related drug in my opinion. But yeah, that's safe and also a great combo. Have fun.

Hi - How do you react to JUST tramadol? IMHO, the combo is safe - I've had both prescribed to me at the same time by same doc - BUT as for the combo's EFFECT? It's all about how the Tramadol alone effects you.

Alprozolam is pretty darn predictable; Tramadol is NOT. I don't understand why or how, but for some lucky people, tramadol creates happiness and energy (I *think* it's enzymes that make or break Tramadol?) ...but for others, it is literally as effective as taking tic-tacs, no matter what the dose (trust me, I really wanted that happy energy and got nada even on a very high dose)

I've taken both together a few times, hoping that the tramadol would at least potentiate the xanax and help me sleep since it certainly doesn't give me any energy, but I felt no different than if I had only taken the xanax.

Maybe you're one of the lucky few Tramadol does wonders for, and your experience will be better :)

As others have said, for someone with extremely low benzo, opiate tolerances this could produce a decent high. Tramadol never did jack shit to me, even when I wasn't a junkie. Anyhow, start low(as is your plan) wait a bit, see how you feel, if you're feeling good, great. If not, up the dose a bit. Just a bit at a time.

I've always liked a small amount of benzos with my tramadol. The benzos really cut down on the unpleasant side-effects of tramadol that can occasionally manifest (eventually, with abuse) if you dose them all at once, or if you simply take too much.

They are extremely effective in cutting the seizure risk that comes with high-dose tramadol as well. Of course, mixing drugs is hardly ever a good idea so it is important to keep the benzodiazepine dosage as low as you possibly can.

To the OP, you should certainly keep the dosages of both drugs low. When combining drugs, it's important to reduce the dosage you might normally take of either/both drugs by at least half. Also, you should try to take the drugs apart from each other with somewhat of an interval in between.

I've done 3mg of Xanax with 500mg of Tramadol in the past.....pretty full on. Got 5 girls facebook and 2 girls numbers in 2 hours....it's all a bit blur though.

DO NOT take this amount of tramadol without a decent amount of benzos....preferably something longer lasting than Xanax ((my mistake). Luckily I didn't get a seizure....good fun !!
