tramadol and alcohol...safe mix?

Well the title pretty much sums it up. I consumed 200 mg of tramadol around 4 hours ago, then another 200 mg about 1 hour ago. I plan on going out tonight, and possible having 1-3 drinks (I have to be DD) starting in about an hour or 2. Is this safe?

I'd suggest that, seeing as you're going to be the driver, that if you do end up having a drink (and personally I don't think you should) you should keep it to 1 drink and 1 drink only.
The sedative effects of both Tramadol and Ethanol will be enhanced by each other quite a lot so it's likely you'll nod out at the wheel, which we don't want at all.

Thats a lot of tramadol. Do you have a tollerance. Otherwise alchohol would be a bad idea, as would driving (at least it would be for me).

It is not a safe mix. I would be more worried about the seziure risk then od'ing.

yeah not on 400, I've been known to have a beer or 2 on maybe 150 mg of tram. but at the max 400 mark, I just wouldnt do it, now if you have a valium pop away

I would definitely say 'no'. I'd never recommend drinking while taking tramadol.
