Tramadol and ADs

I use 8mgs of Diazepan a day roughly.
Done me back the other day, got prescribed Tramadol.

Thay completely wiped out the diazepan and made my controlled hand tremor, totally uncontrollable.
Also for the first time my legs tremored to the point I could not drive.
I am allergic to anyform of antidepressant (SSRI,SNRI) so maybe it was just that part of tramadol.

You are not supposed to smoke even cigs with tramadol, which I do.
Good luck with whatever you decide to try. Mine is just a personal experience.

I've done a fair bi of reading on Seroronin Syndrome and its far from a clear but subject with many a myth surrounding it.

What does seem to be clear that is if you take a reuptake inhibitor and another substance that produces extra serotonin you run a risk of getting it to some level.

It dos seem that SSRIs one their own can cause it or Tramadol on its own can as well as a whole other pile of drugs and that certain combinations, obvious ones like MDMA and an SSRI are quite likely to.

A much more interesting subject than I had thought....or am I getting to interested in such things :)

I was just scripted Tramadol but I'm on Effexor XR 375 mg. If I were to stop takin the Effexor, one how long till it'd be safe to take the Tramadol and kinda redundant but how long does it take the Effexor to leave my system so I don't get seriton (sp) poisioning? I lost my oxy due to my dickhead po so I need these Tramadols to help me gimp around in this cast lol. Thanks!

Ok, I called the pharmacist. She told me that I shouldn't have seizures since I have no history and I'm on diazepam. She also said to keep takin my Effexor and the risk of poisionin is very minimal. She said just watch for heart changes, aggitation, more pain and body temp changes. I'm still concerned about it so I'd like your opinions and experiences. (sorry, my droid wouldn't let me edit my post)
