Even on just 100mg Tramadol three times in one day I am feeling mild rebound/withdrawal three days later. Although the analgesia is good and the effects are pleasant it is not worth it to suffer even relatively mild withdrawal symptoms days later. I am on Butrans patch(low dose buprenorphine) and I tolerate it relatively well going on over 8 years. Perhaps I should avoid using Tramadol again.

That sounds like the safest way to go!
From all the comments made on this forum talking about tramadol, it sounds like it cause some people all kinds of trouble. If you're taking it on top of bupe, you're opening yourself up to further complications.
