Tramadol - 1st time - warm and cozy

my only opiate experience is a few vicodin highs, at 20mg hydrocodone. they didnt do much for me--nausea when standing or sitting, unable to focus my eyes, simplistic thoughts, and a seemingly lack of pressure in my ears. i didnt get any high

i took 3 tramadol, which were bought in Mexico over the counter by a friend, i assume they have the same content as american tramadol

i had dinner at 6pm. i took the tramadol at 7pm. took 1-2 hours to onset. the same side effects that i got with vicodin happened: very low ear pressure, nausea when standing or sometimes sitting

however the tramadol got me plenty high. i felt like i do when i wake up in the morning and lie in bed for a while (one of my "interests" in my profile is "pressing the snooze button repeatedly... i get very euphoric when i'm very tired and in bed...hence the amount of tardies i accumulate each year). my body felt warm and comfortable, i felt a mood lift, i could easily drift towards sleep and see dreamy scenes and events, however i never actually fell asleep; it was like a series of light dreamy naps. the plateau lasted for quite a while---from 9 to 12 or 1 (would have been asleep by this time but the school made my parents drive me home, 1.5 hrs here and there)

next day, woke up at 2pm. i would have woke up earlier, but i had a headache. at 2pm i still did, took an advil, now i feel fine. my ears are a little depressurized still. no nausea next day, or any other signs of hangover

overall i like this drug alot.
 
The magic will disapear quickly.. IT's even given me some mild seizures. The more you take it, the more of a tolerance you develope, hence the greater chance of having a seizure from this strange stuff.

Felt almost like MDMA the first time i took it, mixed with vicodin.....hardly a feeling anymore...kind of drunk like.

I must be really fucked in the head, but the last time i went on a binge of these, one day i was just sitting watching a show on state prisons, when out of nowhere i became an inmate in the prison! I lost all touch with reality....i really thought i was an inmate in there, and it seemed completely normal at the time...i had lost all sense of self.....a very rare and strange reaction indeed.

I always buy a bottle when down in Mexico though, cause they sell them OTC and their only like $20 for 50.

apparently the friend who bought it for me, when asked if he bought anything, siad "yeah......some xanax" they said "why" he said "my friend is going on an airplane and gets a lot of anxiety over flying" and they let him go..he had a couple bottles of tramadol (which he calls vicodin lol), soma, and valium. he gave me some and the soma sucks, valium made me take a nap when normally i wouldnt have been able to sleep for like 12 hours (it was mid day when i was used to going to sleep at 2 cuz of a school break) and the tramadol is awsome

Haha, fucking Hollywood has warped my sense of Mexico sometimes. I read that and wondered "Who can really trust the Mexicans without a little dubiousness?". Sorry Mexico! ;)

I remember one of the first times I had opiates my ears went all funny, and pressure changing - managed to sort it out with that scuba nose thing, where you close your mouth and pinch your nose closed, and try pushing the air out of your ears, maybe that might have helped? Slow breathing is also useful for nausia when you ever get into that loop of "ergh, i feel sick, this is bad" and then things get progressively worse!
 
for the nausea i just had to lay down and it went away

i forgot to mention in my report, my breathing was quite slow (sometimes, if i was laying down in dreamyland, it would seem as if i forgot to breath for a few seconds), and my heart rate was quite slow. at what heart rate per minute should i be worried?
 
tramadol used to be one of my favorite drugs when i was able to get it frequently. however, it also caused me to go into a horrible depression the first time i went without it for a while. i absolutely felt like killing myself. i coudln't stop crying. i felt like absolute horrid SHIT. i was withdrawing, and it was mixed with chronic debilitating depression. be careful with tramadol. the high (if you get the right kinds, some kinds of tramadol are shit, dunno why) is great, and it lasts all day. but you do build up a tolerance quickly, and you will have seizures on high doses (these are like body spasms that happen very suddenly, you just jerk very violently for about a second, and it happens a few times each hour, its very uncomfortable). so be careful with tramadol.
 
nice report.[snip] I have been debating to take 3 50mg tramadol pills for a while becuase of the risk of seizure. Im wondering if 3 50mgs would give me a good buzz im fairly experience with opiates (oxy, hydro). What would be an ideal first time dose??

Tramadol is a good drug but the tolerance means 50mg becomes 100mg becomes 200mg ~ 400mg's and you have a seizure.

My only other objection was that my desire to smoke was significantly more than normal, in that I felt tramadol could 'buffer' the damage that the tobacco was doing to me & at times it felt like I actually needed to smoke which is quite worrying in the long haul.

This was particularly true at work where I became very productive as well as sociable towards the workers.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little, but can we not have talk of smuggling across borders or confessing to possession of drugs please. Ambiguity is your friend :)
 
ha ha yes amibiguity IS a good friend lol. mmmm dreamy stuff is fun lol, as long as it's not the last dream you have while you're young. i dunno just wanted to add that in there oi
 
I like Tramal myself, no doubt i have noticed that it seems to have lost it's peaky effect now :|

The worst thing is that I have'nt taken very much of it either.
 
Tramadol just never did it for me, but I've only taken it when I had a hug tolerance. I took 400mg and just felt WEIRD. I was addicted to about 200mg OC/day at the time though... I probably felt some of it's antagonist properties...

I also had a couple minior siezures. Not pleasent....
 
^it's up to the individual

most would probably say vicodin is superior to tramadol, but for me it's very much the opposite

most say codeine sucks though. so you may want to try it

As qwe says it varies from person to person. I've only tried Tramadol once, a few years ago, and for me it was far better than Codeine which does very little for me.
 
I am strange when it comes to Opiates. I like Codeine 3/4ths as much as I like Heroin. Tramadol is quite inferior to Codeine in my opinion.
 
Tramadol can be very euphoric when a decent dose is taken and there is no opiate tolerance. However since I'm a daily opie user, I always have a tolerance. =D

One thing I've noticed is that it mixes quite well with other opies. Even once a tolerance starts to develop, taking a few of them with my 'regular' opies can be a very euphoric buzz. Very good synergy with other opies would be putting it mildly. Basically taking 2-3 of them with my regular opies gives me an incredible glow and boosts the effects quite well.

Tramadol is very good at keeping WD symptoms in check too if it's the only thing you can get your hands on. ;)
