Bluelighter
Concrete, metal, leave it behind
Grey steel for green fields the country is mine
Free space for roaming no bricks block me in
Train rattles through country
Frown turns to grin
A place to breathe freely; no fumes, gas, or nonsense
Big city lights behind, vanish from my conscience
I'm alone, free
No person in sight of me
I can be, I can see
Forest, scrub and tree
I call this space my country
although I'm not indigenous;
Im Indigenous to the earth
Like all people are.
It seeps into my pores
Invigorates my mind
The rolling hills are green
Endless, vast, and kind.
Grey steel for green fields the country is mine
Free space for roaming no bricks block me in
Train rattles through country
Frown turns to grin
A place to breathe freely; no fumes, gas, or nonsense
Big city lights behind, vanish from my conscience
I'm alone, free
