Traditional (Not Populist) Buddhism is Right-Wing and Wants to Destroy the World

i kno some forms of traditional buddhism could be considered sexist, but i'm not sure what makes it right-wing and wanting to destroy the world.

can you extrapolate on your hypothesis?

Yes I can elaborate. Basically, Buddhism in its radical form holds that self doesn't exist. As such, when your mother gets splattered by a car, they think: "she never existed". Also, gurus who've reached satori/kencho do things like sleeping with lots of women, hunting, and other atrocious acts.

There's something called a seshin whereby you meditate for a week. People come behind you and hit you with staffs every now and then during this procedure.

what some people who belong to a religion do rarely equals what said religion is about.

also, if you make such broad statements, you should at least care to provide some information/sources... ;)

I'd like to see some sources of buddhist sects that treat life and self in such a manner. I think you've either completely misunderstood the literature you've read or I'm just uninformed on significant sects of buddhism.
Furthermore, from my extrememly limited knowledge, japanese buddhists can be much more lenient than others' such for example drinking alcohol to "cheat" with meditation. This would be a small demographic too, not japan as a whole.
How is sleeping with women and hunting atrocious and destroying the world? That is literally how humans exist.
Hitting people during meditation is to test ones focus. Chinese monks practice martial arts and body conditioning is part of training, too, though that's another thing.

I think you're uninformed about traditional buddhism, which is what I described. Populist buddhism is different, it's very kind.

It's completely counter to the tenants o Buddhism. Want me to explain?8(

It's cruel, that's it.

I swear they're about it. I'm telling you (no offense).

College-level philosophy and world religions, with testament from a traditional buddhist.

You appear to have absolutely no grasp on the "traditional" buddhist definitions of self and mortality. What buddhist literature have you taken this from?
Cruelty has nothing to do with being right-wing nor destroying the world. You haven't given any examples of buddhist lit advocating cruelty, nor destroying the world. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "right-wing" but damn near all organised religion has a hierarchy. Show me a religion with no hierarchy or explain what you mean by right-wing.

There's many quacky things in the Buddhist world because there are so many sects and so many perspectives on how to carry out one's dharma.

I've never heard of the the methods you speak of, or the debaucherous practices. Not saying it's untrue, just that citing a few examples of radicalism doesn't taint the whole faith, surely?

I might suggest that they haven't reached Enlightenment. Reminds me of "Osho", who was a womanizer and had a lot of possessions/wealth. Someone who has experienced death would not have that kind of attitude at all, in fact it would be quite the opposite.. they see the absolute foolishness of things and become quite removed from the world.. sex, money, power.. all those things totally fail in comparison to the truth.

i think ram dass said something like 'if someone is a son of a bitch before they become enlightened, they will become an enlightened son of a bitch"

basically just because you have a foot in the door of the groundless reality, doesn't make you into some archetype of the peaceful perfect enlightened buddha.

they still have a personality and that can still play out even if they don't identify with its story any more.

People can fall. Sometimes they like to. Maybe they have wings. Maybe they can use the world without being bound by it, in some sense.

Sleeping with women and hunting are not at all atrocious, IMO. Its life.

Destroy the world? What world? It doesn't exist. :)
