toxicity of DHC (dihydrocodeine)

Hi in the recent days I have been using DHC at doses from 180mgs to max of 280mgs every other day and I was curious if it doesnt cause more damage to my body than for example codeine or morphine. I have been reading a book by Jim Hoghshire called opium for the masses where he talks about the effects of opiates on the health of user and he says that for most people who arent dirty street homeless junkies but opium smokers or richer cleaner heroin users opiates dont cause any damage to their bodys except the WD´s for example W.S.Burroughs has lived a long life and wasnt getting sick nearly as much as some people who didnt use any drugs or used other drugs than opiates or Thomas De Quincey who treated his Tuberculosis by ingesting opium has lived quite a long time based on the age he lived in and his diagnosis. Now I know that DHC is a semisynthetic opioid and thats why Iam asking this question maybe it is alot more toxic than the naturral opiates in poppy pods... also Iam using the DHC continus tablets which have the timerelease wax matrix Iam also curious if the cetostearylalcohol or hydroxyethylcelulose wouldnt cause any gastro-intestinal problems. Iam sorry for my poor english grammar I hope somebody understands what Iam trying to aks here thnx for you´r replys

DHC is far from being toxic...

It has no ceiling effect... You will literally make your kidneys fail before you get too high of a tolerance. (That’s in the grams with tolerance.)

Oral is not the best route for this opiate... A lot of people do not know the beauty of plugging this compound...

so what you are saying is that its almost harmless or I just didnt understand you :D another thing I would try pluging I know that oral BA is only 20% which is a waste of DHC but as I was saying I have the timerelease tablets there is no instant release DHC in my country and I cant plug undisolved waxy bits can I ? :D and if you know how to destroy the matrix I would be very greatfull if you shared it with me :D

^it is not harmless but it is not toxic either. You can still overdose but it will not cause you physical harm otherwise. You can still heat the solution to dissolve the wax (and everything else) and then plug it before it clogs again. I do this with morphine pills.

I have tryed a lot of methods including heating it doesnt destroy all of the matrix there still will be chunks of undisolved pill I think DHC continus has the most unbeatable timerelease mechanism ... I was really frustrated back when I was determined to bypass the matrix now I just swallow them crushed... I sure would want to make the most of it because its the only opioid I can get and it is very expensive...

Maybe a drop of acetone and let it soak and stir for a while would make it all dissolve. I am unsure how much of an irritant acetone is or at what dosages it is psychoactive though to tell you if this idea is terrible or not. I bet someone else has a better idea.

When you heat it, use enough water to absorb all the DHC.

If you do it right, you should end up with the wax and then the solution you are plugging separate.

A beaker, a hotplate, a spoon, water, and a little time is all you need...

Just one tip, do not boil the water. This will destroy the goodies.
