hello everybody! for quite a while now I have been finding answers to my questions on this website so I finally decided to join. Ive spent the last few hours going over rules, greenlighters guide,etc... I'm so afraid of posting something in the wrong area, as it seems to be a common problem, as well as a great source of annoyance for many people lol.
I guess I should say a little bit about myself. I live in virginia, and have a wonderful family. I enjoy drawing, spending time with friends, and swimming.
I have a question about my rx oxycodone... I did try searching for this, and the results were so overwhelming and not what I was looking for. I'm sort of thinking member introductions is not the proper place to post my question ;)
any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I looked at the other drugs forum, and apparently they have a lot of problems with people asking questions that have been answered, so I figured thus would be a good place to start.
thank you so much, and I'm very glad to be here!

I would have just moved it to Support but thank you for answering tambourine-man :) I'll just leave it here. Welcome to Bluelight! Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

Welcome! :)
Besides the awesome search engine(thanks,tamborine-man!!!<3)-which is probably the most underrated tools on Bluelight.Seriously...also the BLUA and the Greenlighter's Guide are the next 2 in your arsenal. Links to both are in my signature below. :D
And never hesitate to ask. This is your intro thread so take advantage!!! ;)
Stop by the NMI social thread and say "high"! ;)

Much peace and love........................skillz =D

Thanks for the welcome and the replies. I'm going to take advantage of the offer to post here, just for now. I have been taking oxycodone immediate release for about a year. I looked up my old pill imprint and found it was from actavis. this month I got something different from the brand caraco... it seems to be about half as effective as my old stuff. I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience? thank you so much for any answers. I did try the suggestions I was given but still could not find anything. :)

Welcome to Bluelight!

I lived in Virginia for many years, and finally moved out of the state to California last summer. :)

If it's also an IR release oxycodone product, I'm willing to bet you're just growing a tolerance.

It IS, in fact ir...and I take that for breakthrough pain with a 75mcg fentanyl patch. i'm wondering if the patch is helping my tolerance along too. Thanks for the feedback...how's California compared to Virginia, btw?

Have you got everything sorted out now or still having trouble?

Let us know anyway! Oh, and Welcome to Bluelight!

thanks a lot, and I hope I did the whole "quote thing" right ;) I took Captain's comment into consideration, and as I said the fentanyl patch cannot be helping anything as far is keeping my tolerance at a reasonable level. with that being said... I would like to share a little more about my situation ,since I have received such friendly knowledgeable feedback so far.
when all this started, I did not have insurance. My doctor decided that I had developed such a high tolerance that a fentanyl patch was in order. we found out very quickly that the patch did not last the full 72 hours for me, and he tried me on several different opiates...First was Dilaudid (which I HATED), then came Morphine. I got JUST ok results from that at btwn 60-120 mg 5xday. when i started the oxycodone I pretty much needed to take them every 6 hours starting at the end of 2'nd day of patch....AND all day the 3'dof day and at least half the day my new patch got applied. Now I have ins, and im getting patches every 2 days instead of 3 I should not need as much of the pills. but I find myself feeling what is similar to withdrawal symptoms... although my doctor says that it should not be an issue because both of those drugs affect the same receptors. I have gone from taking many pills per day to 2 30mg twice a day. and I could not do this alone lol. I have a great support and somebody holds on to them for me until it's time for my next dose. I really miss being able to take the amount I was taking. guess I should not feel too sorry for myself I am well aware of the fact that there are many pain sufferers out there with no relief at all.
so I probably went completely off topic and m making no sense at this point. I'm in a rush to leave my home actually and so I won't have a chance to read this over before posting. Please forgive any stupid mistakes! I do feel there is a difference between what I used to take and what I'm taking now. or maybe it's just the timing, you know? Like my greatly lowered dose in combination with this different looking pill... my silly brain can do a whole lot with that lol. thank you so very much.

SWIM = Someone Who Isn't Me.

A lot of people use it on drug forums because they think it protects you, but actually makes you sound like a dumb ass because everyone knows that you are talking about you and it doesn't off any kind of protection.

Thanks so much for the reply. WTF, I see the guy who caused me to ask that question has only posted that ONE post?! I may be new to all this forum stuff, but at least I joined for a purpose lol! I found some information that may suggest the pills I have actually are inferior to the ones I have gotten in the past. if anyone is interested in this information, let me know and I will try and post a link... thanks again for the reply!
