defeated soundly
by mistakes renewed.
Observations overplayed,
rejections apparent and resounding...
Youth's curse beckoning at
flesh left barren -
waiting
wanting
waning
went.
Blood most chiding
cliches fading
bites left bitten, no healing for
faux pas forseen.
Trapped in fear for
forever floundering at
failure's success,
The barrel's bottom rising
to meet the top, leaving
a sliver for me to mourn
what was a wish of
folly's torment.
