Topamax and soda and other foods..

Has anyone been scripted topamax? If so have they noticed complete disintrest in food to the point where they have to force feed themselves.. also does soda taste like complete shit to you as well? Fucking weird...

Ive never been prescribed it but i know a fair bit about it and that is a pretty common side effect of topamax. Stuff llke soda especially tastes like shit on it. I don't know if it goes away or not. Topamax is used off label for weight loss so don't be too surprised that your getting that side effect.

It does not go away. As long as you take Topamax, it will dull the shit out of your sweet taste buds. Topamax is also being looked at as a treatment for obesity. So, I'm pretty sure it has to kill hunger in someway.

I am taking it for migraine prevention.. but I tried to drink some coke today and it tasted flat and disgusting... and I am just not interested in food. My husband is on his way home with a huge lobster for me for an anniversay present.. lol I am gonna have to force myself too eat it. Luckily I am not getting the other side effects where I cant remember shit and all that jazz.

LOL The lobster is actually damn good.. Even topamax cant ruin a good lobster.. thank the gods...

He also brought home so blue crabs!!! YAY!!! No soda.. but.. the seafood is good and butter is a must... tasty! lol
