Top 5 Disney Cartoons

leekabusch said:
the original Robin Hood, where the characters were foxes and bears.
I still have that video to this day, and it never gets old.

FINALLY someone who knows whats up with Robin Hood! I just found this hidden in my parents room last night and watched it for the first time since I was about 9 or 10. Great movie, if you ask me.

Not as good as Jungle Book, though.

OMG of course that robin hood! the one with the thumb sucking scaredycat(literally) prince...that is one of my favorite cartoons. hmm..does anybody remember this really old PEter Pan CArtoon? that was classic :)

1. Aladdin
2. Finding Nemo
3. Monster's Inc.
4. Emperor's New Groove
5. Lion King

Close ones
Little Mermaid
Alice in Wonderland
Original Robin Hood movie

also really good ones ...
Sword in the stone
Toy Story
Goofy Movie
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
:)

Lion King
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Robin Hood(he was a fox or something)
Nightmare Before Christmas
Aladdin

i'll need to really look over a full list of all the disney films before i do this properly, but the ones which immediately spring to mind are fantasia, monsters inc., bambi, and toy story (and its sequel).

sword in the stone...that rocks! other good cartoons (although im not sure they are Disney ) are also: The last Unicorn, The Swan (where the princess has to keep silent lest her brothers die) ,Alladin and the Magic Lamp (definitely not the Disney version, much much earlier, where the whole castle gets buried in quicksand. ) :)

Ohh I loved that Robin Hood cartoon when I was younger! Also The Little Mermaid [apparantly I asked to watch it every day], Bed Knobs and Broomsticks, Aladdin and Lady and the Tramp.

Robin Hood
Lion King (absolute best disney movie ever!!!)
Jungle Book
Little Mermaid
Fantasia
Aristocats ( I know its campy I just like the jazz and the kitties!) :)

I totally forgot about the Aristocats. That movie was awesome...I've lost it though, pity cos it really did rock. I'm thinking of finishing off the rest of my stash to a disney movie tonight, probably alice in wonderland. that shit is cray cray

Alice in Wonderland was the best disney movie. EVER. Triptastic fun for everyone! =D

After that I'd vote for Toy Story (if you're counting that), then The Jungle Book, The Little Mermaid and Robin Hood.

^ Crap.

Disney either makes inspired art, or utter crap.

Not counting Pixar stuff, I like:

Emperors New Groove - comic timing at its finest.
Lilo and Stitch - Funny, and a wonderful, consistent theme throughout.
Snow White - What can I say that hasn't already been said 1000 times? Brilliant.
Sleeping Beauty - If there's a finer villainess than Maleficent, I haven't seen her.
Hercules - Yeah, some people are unkind to this one, but I loved it. Especially the music, and James Woods as Hades.

Problem is, for every "Snow White", they make more than one "Oliver and Company".

They're the Rolling Stones of animation. To find the gems, you have to sift through a pile of elephant crap.

I haven't seen these since I was little...but I have the best memories of seeing these in the theater...

Snow White
Pinocchio
The Sword in the Stone
The Great Mouse Detective
The Black Cauldron
Song of the South (The cartoon Eisner BANNED from further distribution.)

Watching cartoons today, there seems to be something more genuine and natural about the older cartoons, before computers were used. That is not to say that computer animation sucks entirely, though.
