Toothache infection: Naproxen, Codeine, SOMA... I'm going insane

Sorry to create a thread for "a simple" thing as a toothache infection, but what I'm having is excruciating toothpain. First I tried Ibuprofen, when I took 3 and after 3 hours I was still agonizing I realized something was very wrong.
I then bought Naproxen. I got some relief from 500mg Sodium Naproxen, that mega NSAID gave me some relief, but after one hour or so, I felt the same pain again in the other side of the mouth.
Then I bought Codeine. I took 420mg. Nothing. I felt my body pleasurable but I was still agonizing from the pain. The Naproxen was more effective than the Codeine.
I went to a dentist. Told me to come back tomorrow. I was almost crying of the pain at this point, only the Naproxen was given me some relief.
Then I thought about SOMA (Carisoprodol). I took 700mg. NOTHING. It felt good with the Codeine, but the pain in my mouth/head was still the same. I ate something thinking it would make the meds work faster.
Still the same, only taking more Naproxen gives me some relief (but 500mg it's already a BIG pill). What can I do to not go insane until tomorrow? I also thought about taking some benzos, but I don't have Midazolam, all I have is Clonazepam. And I don't know what good would do against toothpain.
It's already night here and it's raining, but I don't mind going out, this pain is the worse; I was thinking of some Clonidine OR Lyrica (don't have more money for both).

Pregabalin (lyrica) will definitely work, in a far superior manner to the NSAID's IMO. The clonidine on the other hand wouldn't. The benzodiazepine may help relieve some of the agitation that comes with the pain, but don't expect any analgesia from it.

Take the pregabalin alone for starters.

Can you get your hands on any hydrocodone? That always helps MAJORLY for my toothaches.

Damn, too late, I already bought the Clonidine... (becase I measures my BPM and was really high, probably because of the Sodium Naproxen and junk food).
No, no Hydrocodone in my country, lots of OTC Tramadol and Codeine though.
Wish you guys would responded earlier.. thanks anyway, I'll see if I can manage with what I have...

Codeine should help, that's quite odd. Anyway, best of luck man, I really hope you get some sort of relief from the Clonidine, and the Cloneazepam might help with the "mental" pain (thinking about it, worrying, etc...). Pull through, man.

I mostly always have Keflex (Cephalexin) and the best part is at my pharmacy, they're free. Do you have any strong antibiotics in your arsenal? That would be my first choice and I'm surprised your dentist didn't prescribe you any.

Thanks guys!, I got Lyrica thanks to a discount by Pfizer to promote the med! it's even cheaper than Gabapentin
it has been an hour that I take 150mg and I already feel.. nothing!!! it's miraculous!!!
as for antibiotic, the dr prescribed me amoxicilin with clavulanic acid
Thanks guys!

^ Good stuff.

Just to say, using antibiotics in the wrong way is extremely socially irresponsible, and they should only be used under directives of a physician.

Onions are best known to get rid of tooth pain whenever one has a toothache at night. Just cut a small piece of it and place it on top of the tooth.

Kinda funny how on a forum where people self medicate with every drug known to man that suddenly using antibiotics should only be done under the supervision of a Dr.

I keep a stash around so I can run the whole cycle of antibiotics just like the Dr would have you do, or enough to hold me over till I get to see the Doc/ dentist and finish an antibiotic cycle.
Like every other drug here, at least google it before you take it.
