I have had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed as well Sadie! Years ago...the first two were smashed out quite literally with bits flying everywhere by a local dentist and it was unpleasant but you feel nothing with the numbing injection. I did feel a bit traumatised though so asked to be put under a general for the second lot.The second lot were removed in dental hospital and I remember nothing but I will be honest while I felt nothing when you have a general they try and shove a suppository up yer arse to stop nausea ...I refused to allow them to do it and insisted I did it myself...they didn't like that at all. Didn't work anyway..you swallow so much blood while they do it under a general..milk straight after helps.
So there you go total honesty...you may feel some discomfort after but no real pain in my experience. If it's just the one tooth..I'll send my Dad round he used to put string around our wobbly teeth attach string to door knob and slam door..voila..tooth gone and fucking traumatised and pschologically damaged for life..seriously..you will be fine..ask for all the drugs or just shove some coke in the area after..I jest....good luck.
