Very sorry for asking this kind of question, I know how much you guys hate it, but I could really use some reassuring.
I've been on methadone (prescribed, not illicit) for about 5 years now. For the past 6 months, I finally started reducing my dose. I've made it from my peak of 90mg down to 20mg.
My pharmacy/dispensary is open 24/7, so they have a rule that the soonest they can give you your next dose after your last is 12hrs. So once a week, I will take advantage of that and take my saturday dose 12 hours after my friday dose, just to shake things up a little bit, and give me a "good day" in exchange for a shitty day some other day of the week.. I did that today.
But also today, I just so happened to acquire some generic oxycodone's, 10mg each with no acet or aspirin or anything like that. I looked up an equianalgesic chart on wikipedia, and found that my 20mg of methadone should have roughly the same effect as about 40mg of oxycodone, so I took 4 of the oxy's. I've doubled up my methadone dose before (forgot to take it one day, so took two the next day), and didnt get sick or "too high" or anything like that, so I figured the 40mg of oxy should be fine too.
Problem is, now I'm starting to feel a little bit "too high". It's probably just because it's been so long since I've done any kind of opiod other than methadone (and let me tell you, methadone doesn't give nearly as much of a 'dopamine' high as proper opiods do), and I'm mistaking a proper opiod high for "too" high. But I've got 1.5-2mm wide pupils that really dont change size at all between dark and light rooms, and my face is pretty damn itchy.
So am I just overreacting because it's been so long since I took any opiod other than methadone? Or is taking 20mg of methadone, 12hrs after my last 20mg, and then taking 40mg of oxy, is that heading into the "danger zone"? Sorry again for asking this kind of question, but it would be a lot easier to enjoy this high if I had a 2nd person other than myself telling me that I'm going to be fine.
