took morphine orally, feel nothing

i snorted half a 30 mg morphine and ate one and a half about an hour ago...and i feel nothing. my tolerance isn't incredibly high...i usually take around 50 mg of oxycodone at a time. is there a history of "fakes" going around or is this all in my head?
 
Um, taking 15mg orally of morphine really isn't much at all, certainly not equivalent to 50mg oxycodone, probably a 1/10th that. Snorting the other 15mg was probably a waste too, not more than 4-5mg was used. Next time eat the whole thing, and eat more.
 
Oral morphine's bioavailability is ~30%, very low. 30mg of morphine is a pretty small dose to take orally and would be great only for someone without opioid tolerance.

I don't think that conversion is right, or their algorithm is flawed somehow. Subjectively, 50mg of oxycodone feels much stronger than 75mg of morphine. I'd say that 150mg would be closer to 50mg of oxycodone.
 
sniffing the morphine was a bad idea... very low BA... and you only did 15mg snorted at a BA of 15% and orally took 15mg at 30% BA... oxy is about 1.5 times stronger than morphine i think, so if you're used to 50mg oxy (with a high oral and intranasal BA) its normal you didn't feel anything, you didn't dose high enough...

next time plug or IV the morphine... far higher BA's 60% and 100% respectively i believe
 
Unfortunately morphine is really a pain in the ass to use recreation wise. Its just not going to compare to the OC you're used to(unless you IV it). According to wikipedia Oxycodone is 1.5 to 2 times stronger than morphine when taken orally, however, 15mg of oxycodone is equivalent to 10mg of morphine when IV'ed, so morphine is more potent. The problem is unless you are shooting the morphine you're probably going to be disappointed.

In your case if you are taking it orally you will probably need 75 to 100mg of morphine. But really if morphine has 25% BA orally I think you would need even more than that, like 150mg of morphine to match 50mg oral oxycodone.

You will probably need much more than 60mg's of morphine.
 
I only really felt morphine when I, ahem, did it anally. Buy a water syringe from a Wallgreen's or a place of the likes, dissolve it in a little water, take a shit, and squirt it up the place where only excrement is supposed to come out. It's comparable to IMing it. I've done 200mg this way once before, though the first time I tried it with 60mg was one of the biggest opiate nods I've ever had to date, and I've fucked around with dozens of different opiates. Watch out though, this route becomes highly addictive with morphine. After a two week binge and and empty pocket, I went through a few days of hell, but it was rather transient with my experiences of withdrawal, it's just not something to take lightly.
 
My first experience with Morphine I took two 15mg MSContin tablets and felt absolutely nothing. So I followed up the next days with attempts at 3 and 4 tablets and felt nothing more than a very mild, subtle pain killer effect. I already had a tolerance to Oxycodone but nothing major...I was only 17. Eventually I realized that I needed like 8-10 of them at the very least. Toward the end of my opiate using days I would have to take a couple of the 200mg bars to catch a high.

My point is, Morphine is pretty ineffective when taken orally. Intravenous and intramuscular are the only two routes that reveal how good Morphine really is.

Plugging seemed more effective than rigging IMO. It has longer legs and is about the same strength. 60mg of morphine plugged would have me fucked up all day and I could even wake up and still feel quite good. Some homophobic people think that it's 'gay' but if one can get over that it's actually one of the best routes for most of the pure opiates.
 
^^^Then you've obviously never used a needle.I've seen Oxycodone addicts overdose from shooting morphine.IV'ing 100 milligrams of morphine is easily as potent as snorting 2 Oxycontin 80's.Slamming a morphine 30 is stronger to me then an Oxy 40,and where I live,a morphine 30 is exactly 1/10th of the price as an Oxy 40.

How true.

Except where I live Morphine 30mg instant release tabs aren't 1/10th the price of a 40mg OxyContin
 
^Right on... and if I want to be *that* sedated (minus the rush) I'd probably take some methadone over morphine anyway. But that's me.

The oral bioavailabilty of morphine is very low, somewhwere near 10%. Which makes me wonder how we get so fucked up from pod or poppy seed tea....
 
^^^ Codeine is a significant factor because it adds more morphine, and also doing 10 or so pods can have a shit ton of morphine in it.
