So i took 10mg of hydrocodone about 20 mins ago. this was my first time taking opiods of any kind so i have no tolerance. Basically all i feel is kinda tired and sedated, but not really euphoric. is this just too low of a dose? i weigh 135lbs by the way. Oh and next time i plan on taking 20mgs so should i do a cold water extraction or should i just take the pills?

20minutes isn't nearly enough time for something to kick in.

That's the max amount of APAP that I would take in one sitting, and you should be fine if this is not a daily/regular thing. A lot of people don't really get the full euphoric effects from opioids the first few times, and they just feel sedated and loopy at first. It takes a few times to get used to it and to know what good effects you should be expecting.

^This. Just don't make taking large amounts of APAP a habit. Just don't drink any alcoholic beverages and you'll be fine with 2000mg APAP.

There is a chance that hydrocodone even at higher doses wont make you feel that great. People react differently to various opiates, sometimes you have to find the one that's right for you.
Give it another try at 20mg and see how you feel. Personally hydrocodone has never made me feel great. I recently took 75mg and just felt heavy, warm, and lethargic. Oxycodone however, even at much smaller doses, gives me very pleasent euphoria. Maybe hydrocodone isn't the right opiate for you.
Give codeine a try and see if that produces any euphoria, if not, maybe you need something like oxycodone.
Keep in mind however, 10mg even with no tollerence may not be enough to produce any pleasurable effects. My first time with opiates was also hydrocodone. It took 30mg just to get that warm relaxing feeling. I'm not saying go for 30 or 40mg right away, just work up too it. Also you will have to use CWE if you go higher then 20mg at once.

Its in couch syrup as well is pill form. Tylenol 3 is the most common. It contains 30mg codeine and 300mg APAP

Ohh my this sounds how everyone I know starts with opiates just do it once so you can say ya did and give the rest away. That's a long hard road giving those up once it's started.
Almost everyones first use with Opiates is completely opposite to how they would expect it. Its such a good feeling but its one you have to know and experience before.
Your first one might not be euphoric, id say try 20mg next time and you are more likely to get a nice high. Dont expect to get "fuckec" on opiates or anything, you have to let it hit you then you will see how good it really feels.
