So I went to a hardcore rave on friday. When i got home I took a zopiclone to sleep. Got maybe a few hours sleep but was feeling ace anyhow due to a great trip and little comedown thanks to the blessed 5-htp.
I had a fresh gram of diazepam powder but no scales (they had arrived in the post but the concierge had them locked in the building so I couldn't access them till I saw them and he must have already gone home).
So still feeling a lil groggy I decided to 'eyeball' the diazepam dosage. I have never had diazepam powder before so took only a tiny amount and waited an hour.
I felt a tiny bit 'fluffier' as I usually do after having one of my dad's 5mg pills but not too noticeable. So I took another dose a lil more sizable. Maybe a little more but I still questioned placebo. So around 8 pm I scrapped up a bigger dose still on a card with a thicker consistency, hard to say the size but I'd guess around 8mg.
I now felt comfortably numb. I listened to music then some audio novel and felt the urge to go to bed so did so.
Although I was lying in bed I was not falling asleep as fast as I'd like. After lying there for 30 mins or so I decided I'd take half a 7.5mg (so 3.25) zopiclone as I imagine half a pill wouldn't make much of a difference in terms of interactions. Last I know I must have dropped off within 15-20 mins.
I awoke and it was light and only as I needed to piss. As I got up it was as if my body was lead and I found it a very considerable effort to make it to the bathroom and urinate. I did so then happily stumbled back to bed and immediately dropped back to sleep.
I awoke a couple times but then would immediately go back to sleep again.
When I finally awoke for the last time I checked the clock and I must have slept for around 12 hours total. Now this is UNHEARD of for me as I regularly have insomnia hence the prescription of zopiclone tablets which the doc has given me and usually only sleep for around 4 hours a night.
As I tried to move then my head and body still felt heavy as lead.
Usuaully if I have zopiclone alone or in the past when I've had a low dose of diazepam- even up to 20mgs I feel very refreshed as soon as I awoke. This morning however I felt extremely lethargic and could barely lift myself out of bed.
As I tried to walk to my computer I was stumbling all over the place.
Now I am wondering what the cause of this is- could it be that, not weighing out my diazepam doses I prob took too much and it's still giving me a heady effect, or could it be the zopiclone and diazepam interacted with one another to cause a synergictic effect; or, both?
I find it strange cos I thought after such a long time , even with the diazepam I thought that would have worn off by now.
Fortunately, being a sunday I have nothing to do today but it is rather a nuisance being in such a stupor. I tried to lie in bed just then to try and sleep it off again but it seems my body doesn't want any more after 12 hours.
Like I say my scales have arrived but are in 'holding' so I won't make the overdosing mistake again I just wanna know what the likely cause of this is.
I am thinking if diazepam has a long half life then maybe as I kept redosing I was piling up the doses before each had taken full effect although I was trying to make sure I left 30mins-1hour between doses.
That or some kind of synergistic effect between the diaz and zopiclone.
Thoughts?
Also any tips on how to get rid of this stupified state other than waiting it out? I tried drinking some coffee but it didn't do shit!
