Took a 30mg Temazepam instead of my usual 10mg Diazepam. Not impressed?

I'm prescribed 1mg of Klonopin and 10mg of Valium at rest.

A friend oddly got some Temazepam for some sleep issues he's having following a death in the house and I traded him a couple of Valium for a couple of Temazepam.

I didn't take all 60mg because Cap'n Heroin seems to get high off 7.5mg of it and I looked at the charts and 30mg Temaze = 15mg Diazepam

I mean I didn't expect to get high but I heard Temaze has a great euphoria profile so I was hoping for some opiate like "mmmmmm yeah" feelings. Not so. I took 30mg.

I got regularly sleepy like I took the Valium and I crashed out.

I did wake up a little less during the night (I piss a lot) and as expected no hangover effect (unlike xanax)

Any thoughts?

Well its a benzo, so I am not surprised that it didn't feel like an opiate, but instead felt like valium.

I believe Captain.Heroin IV's his temazepam. Not sure though.

No I take my temazepam orally, it has close to 100% oral BA. It's also not very water soluble and I've never wanted to have to use a different solvent.

I think that it has something to do with having a benzo tolerance. Most people with a benzo tolerance tend not to get a lot out of temazepam.

I know someone who used to be a benzo addict (might still be one?) and they never got anything out of temazepam, they hated it, and liked diazepam, and even flurazepam, better.

If you have no benzo tolerance, temazepam is really nice. I would save temazepam for a rainy day in the future.

Finally, benzos tend to effect individuals differently. If you go through the threads asking about people's benzo preferences, you might start to see trends (that people like midazolam and temazepam and alprazolam, a lot) but you'll always see differences in everyone's posts, and everyone's #1 can very easily be different (even if they have tried all the benzos that someone else has).

Also, temazepam can knock you out before you really get to feeling euphoric, this is what happened to me when I tried taking 15mg at once, so I just stick to 7.5mg if I were to take it now. I haven't actually used any benzos in many months now just due to falling out of wanting to use them.

I am prescribed the 30 mg temazepams and in my honest opinion....they are equal to about 20-30mg's of diazepam. They are very strong, especially for people with little tolerance.
As far as the whole euphoria thing goes....I really am not sure where people got that idea from. I have heard of it many times but I just dont get it, temazepam is a benzo and therefore provides benzo-like effects, not euphoria. It jsut makes you tired really because its more of a hypnotic benzo than it is a anxiolitic benzo.
Allthough, when it is combined with small amounts of marijuana, or suboxone, or a similarly small dose of another type of drug, the temazepam actually sometimes feels a little more euphoric than you would expect to feel. So i guess thats my experience with temazepam in that aspect....its only euphoric when combined with small doses of another drug.....somtimes even a good old cigg will do the trick slightly. Allthough thats just me and you may be different but that is my experience. Have fun and be safe.

I wasn't ever really a benzo addict in the sense that it's been 9 years since i've taken more than 4mg of xanax at once or more than 30mg of valium.

There was a period (2006-early 2010) I wouldn't touch a bezno to save my life due to the hangover effects but my doctor put me on them for neuralgic pain (lyrica = no go) and they work but I don't really "get high" from them because unlike 9 years ago I'm not seeking to get high off benzos


Re: Jamesbrown - I can't smoke marijuana currently, but am smoking "head shop blends" containing likely JWH-018 and I quit tobacco 18 months ago. My wife would kill me if she saw me smoking a cig LOL
