Took 2 mg Clonazapam... How long will it last?

Hey guys,

Just took a 2mg clonazapam, havent taken any for quite a long time... Just wondering wow long do the effects last and what can I do (eat/drink) to potentiate it?

Have been smoking weed and found that helped a great deal.

You should still feel it the next day. It has a half-life of ~20 hours. You can take a drink or two of alcohol but be warned that it is a dangerous combo so keep alcohol to small amounts.

When I took clonozapam , i think i did 4mg my first time.. and was only time

I remember taking it in the evening.. I was stoned all night, I woke up the next day still buzzing.. the feeling the next day is a subtle high from the night before with a little more groggyness added.

with 2mg you shouldnt feel such a hangover as I did, and the only reason i took 4mg is because ive been fighting anxiety all my life and never went to see a doctor about it.. 2mg didnt do anything at all to me

/edit also I wouldnt recommend more then like 2 strong drinks seriously.. and thats being lenient

My friend has a prescription for these and she gets very messed up everytime she drinks..
(shes an alcohoholic + on clonazapam)

Yes, very long half life indeed, and alcohol really makes it that more powerful

I would avoid mixing it with alcohol if you can avoid it. Clonazepam is a pretty long-acting benzo anyway and adding alcohol will increase the effects, yes, but will most likely just cause you to black out and not remember anything.

The Internet is filled with stories of people who blacked out on alcohol and benzos, took more benzos during the blackout, and then did stupid/dangerous things. Be careful!

Klonopin lasts me anywhere from 8-12 hours. I used to take it daily for many years, at least 7 out of the 11 years I was addicted to benzos. Probably the longest acting benzo I've ever taken besides Diazepam (which lasts more than a day for me...when I start taking high doses).

half life and duration of effect arnt the same, for me it lasts about 4-5 hours, the half life is just how long its in your body.

same with valium, in fact that has a half life of up to 200 hours, yet i only feel it for 2-3 hours.

No, Valium lasts much longer than that for me, the initial effects are about 4 hours but the residual effects last up to a day. It builds up in your system, if you dose just once it may not last longer than 4 hours or so but if you take it daily one dose seems to last a day. I used to think it lasted only a few hours but once I started taking larger doses the residual effects wouldn't seem to end. I'd always feel so drowsy the following day and fighting to stay awake or coordinated but couldn't always do it.
