Alright. I made a huge mistake and took 1200Mg of Wellbutrin. I was taking a lot of Xanax at the time and kept forgetting I took my meds. I was on 10Mg Xanax a day btw. I wrote this because I want to know if the Xanax and wellbutrin were synergetic.
Okay, so here's what happened. You start feeling really good after about an hour and bam! Hallucinations like crazy. It was like a deleriant but the negative effects were absent. This was about 2 hours later amd I remembered I might have ingested more Wellbutrin then I thought. Remember, I had taken 10Mg of Xanax, so my short term memory was shot.
I was tripping out seeing things out of the corner of my eyes. I was hyperfocused on counting them though. I freaked out, thought I was going to have seizures or Cardiac Arrest. After a bit, I realized I remembered that I took a good amount of Xanax, so that would help with raising seizure threshold. I needed water badly, but imagine sitting down, which I was, and you feel like gravity is pushing you down. My ability to even get up off the ground was near impossible, so I said "forget it". I've done deleriants, and this was somewhat like them.
Well, I stopped trying to get up a wave of confusion came on. I began thinking I needed to do something. I would start something and crawl, which also was hard, to get to what I thought I was doing prior. I would then stop...and do something else. This continued for awhile. You will sit there and honestly think about, "What am I supposed to be doing?". I stayed up and watched t.v and I kept trying to get up on my feet. You CANNOT get up lol. SERIOUSLY, I used all my muscle's which actually made me able to kind of stand up, but had to sit down right away on the sofa or I would fall for sure.
Be aware of what taking too much of an Anti-depressant does. Funny thing was that I was happy and proud of myself that I finally stood up. It was like a big deal because I tried forever, haha. Sorry, but looking back, I just remembered how much I had to crawl to get or do something. I put everything I needed on the floor of my room when I had finally regained enough strength to walk. I figured It was the best move because I would probably fall again.
The rest of the trip consisted of many different colors on all objects. And I mean DIFFERENT colors. The rest was a blur except, I remember I kept falling down and bumping into things. I can't believe my parents heard nothing. I mean, I was LOUD just falling right on the floor. Okay, so I know this is kind of a Trip Report, but I had to explain what mixing the meds did. I still don't know if the Xanax made me too relaxed and unable to walk, the Wellbutrin or both combined. Anybody have an idea? By the way, please don't tell me how to live my life and give irrelevant comments. Anyways, Peace

sorry. I'm surprised you remembered any of this to be honest. when I used to take huge amounts of xanax I would black out.

I have heard wellbutrin has a some recreational potential and the xanax may have allowed you to experience what a high dose is like without having a seizure. The wellbutrin may have stopped you from passing out on the xanax so you also felt the full effects of 10mg of xanax. The short term memory loss caused by xanax was most likely why you were so confused.

No worries man. Ya, that makes a whole lot of sense with being confused. The hallucinations were probably all the Norepinephrine being dumped and my Serotonin levels increased to balance it all out. Maybe something close to Amphetamine Psychosis? Like when cocaine addicts keep looking out the window and hear things that aren't there. I really think that it has deleriant like effects at high doses. Strange....There was a lot I didn't share because it was way to intricate and out there. Well, I'm sure not keeping my bottle of Wellbutrin out after I take my Xanax lol.

Wouldn't the hallucinations be due to the fact that Bupropion is a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist? I know that would be the reason for the muscle paralysis.

For the paralysis, maybe. It was exactly the heaviness you get off deleriants though. I guess it could have really been a lot of factors going into that "Episode."
