Tolerance to opioid induced miosis?

I've taken relatively high methadone doses recreationally, and even though others note that my pupils look completely normal, I'm high as hell. I have read this effect does not lessen with use.

Any one have any of the same experience or is miosis always observed by yourself with strong doses (high dose dependent on the person) of full mu agonists?
