So basically every doctor that I ever spoke to told me that tolerance really does go down by alot, enough to the point where when people go a month without dosing and than end up over dosing on their highest dose that they normally took, if u guys get what I'm saying. So my question is I have a 300-320 mg oxy tolerance and I havnt doses anything except morphine twice in the past 3 weeks, so I guys think ill be alright jumping to a 330ish hydrocodon dose ? Keep in mind I'm a big guy with what used to be almost a daily thing but now it's been 3 weeks. Don't wanna end up like our good friend corey montieth :(

Well I forgot to mention that those two morphine times were doses of 600-700 mg lol so idk how much my opiate tolerance went Down. I kinda am hoping that the two work pretty dufferently so that I did get a tolerance decrease

There's no reason to risk it like Missmeyet said just start at half and adjust as needed. You can always take more but you can't take less.

if you are not doing a cwe, id be more worried about all that tylenol (or i guess ibuprofin if you happen to have vicoprofin) you enevr want to take more than around 4gs of tylenol per day as its hell on your liver. can someone take 6gs in a day? sure. but i sure wouldnt.

like already said, just start at a lower dose, you may find you dont need as much as you think.

Thank you all for the replies, and of course I'm cwe! I'm just wondering if anyone knows how similar the chemicals Or whatever are between morphine and hydro, I understand they are both opiates but j guess what in trying to ask is how possible is it that my tolerance didn't drop very much at all because of the morphine doses, reason why I'm saying this is because I like to usally take my highest dose possible to get that best rush like euphoric effect and iv noticed taking doses split or piece by piece practically does nothing. Even at my highest dose EVER which was like 365 mg OXY I'm still like just bearly slightly euphoric so that tells me I have the tolerance of Godzilla and also considering I'm very tall and and about 215 lbs idk. I know this is a harm reduction site and ofcourse in supposed to get answers like this but what about on the flip side for once?

^^ and to add onto that I never really even get thrashed, I still walk, talk socialize just fine. Just wanted to throw that in there I'm not like some stuck on stupid phase lol

There is a cross tolerance between all opiates/opioids but it is pretty difficult to determine plus it is going to vary somewhat from person to person. Just start lower and work your way up.

Most people find 20mg oxycodone = 30mg hydrocodone. Equivalency charts have oral morphine and hydrocodone equal, but that's for pain killing effects, and not euphoria. It seems that most people whose DOC is oxycodone don't really find morphine to be that euphoric, so have to take way higher than the equivalent analgesic dose to feel some euphoria.

I know that splitting the doses doesn't work that well, so I think you would be alright with the 330mg of hydrocodone that you plan on taking, but would probably do 300mg to be a little safer.

Quick question: Have you gone through withdrawals since you went from 330mg of oxycodone to just taking morphine 2x over the past 3 weeks?

/\ I'm sorry, I wasn't clear in my prior post. That is what I was referring to as far cross tolerance goes, euphoria. It is hard to compare. My DOC is oxy and I get no euphoria (some pain releif, not a lot) from a comparable dose of morphine or hydro.

I guess its easy to say start low and work your way up but I didn't think it through about how its not nearly as euphoric to split the dose than to take it all at once. Just be cautious...
