I've been doing a lot of CODEINE in the forms of oxy, hydrocodone and codeine, some with APAP. I took double the dose of hydro today and didn't feel a DAMN THING!
What can I do to rid my tolerance...besides obviously stopping :)

hehehe, when you figure this golden riddle out, let me (and everyone else) know...
Seriously, there are potentiators that *may* help, but the fact is, tolerance is tolerance. The only way to lower it is to take a break (hahahahaha) from whatever it is you're doing. And, even then, you'll never get back to 0. Your tolerance will always build much quicker than the first time. Welcome to the other side.

The obvious, stopping, is the only thing that really works. How bad is your tolerance? Consider usuing more potent opiates like Heroin or fantanyl.
Someone mentioned potentiators. Do search of "opiate potentiators.

http://www.medicineau.net.au/clinical/palliative/ketamine.html
There is evidence that ketamine reverses morphine tolerance and clinically this results in the reappearance of morphine sensitivity. In practical terms this means that it is necessary to reduce the morphine dose at the same time as introducing ketamine to avoid the problems associated with morphine toxicity. It may need to be reduced by 30-50%.

I think it was Phreex that posted a method of using an opiate antagonist after 3 days to reset your tolerance, or something of that nature... I don't use them often enough to build a tolerance, so i don't know personally, but if you can find that post it might help you a lot.

Thats the way it goes. I eat a lot of opiates & your tolerance can build up pretty fucking fast. My way around it is to try & lay off them for a week or so. Fuck around with some benzo's or coke if you wanna get twisted then in a week or so eat em up...

HYDRO-CHRONIC,
What's the deal with DXM Robutussin? Can't I get that OTC at a local drug store or something...?
If that's what I'm thinking of, like the cough syrup, how much should I take?

We really can't offer you much help here because you don't seem to understand your own drug use. neither oxy or hydrocodone are forms of codeine. Differnt opiates entierly. So if you dropped from doing 10mg of oxy to 10mg of hydro a day no fucking shit you didn't feel anything.
Secondly what is a double dose for you? If it is normally only 10mg this isn't too surprising.

There is no practical way to really reduce an opiate tolerance without quitting unless you also want to be getting high on ketamine and/or dxm as well.
End of story.
Second, as mentioned above, you should learn more about the drugs you are taking.
Codeine is an entire step below oxycodone or hydrocodone. The effects of it are different and while you can take a really high dose and get high, it's just not the same as hydro or oxy.
Oxycodone is also stronger per mg than hydrocodone. 10mgs of hydrocodone is equivellent to 7.5mgs of oxycodone.
Keep stuff like that in mind when you're trying to get high.

I've been getting quite nice buzzes off time-released tramadol lately. I'll take 200mg in the morning and won't feel anything until 3PM. It's 5:35PM now and I know the best is still to come. Seriously folks this has been working quite well - better than I expected from something available on prescription. It has mostly anti-depressant effects but without side-effects such as sleep deprivation and appetite suppession. I have been getting some pain along my left arm but it is controllable especially with 50mg diclofenac thrown in for good measure. Just what the doctor ordered.

Quale,
You're right, I don't KNOW MUCH about my "drug use" - that's the reason why I'm posting on this board.
...?
I appreciate your replys and remember that some people here don't know as much as some others do, that's why questions come up, right?
Thanks again for the advice. Don't wana sound mad but you have to realize that some people have just started experimenting while others have been doing it for years.

An interesting study on the effects of DXM and tolerance... seems to prevent tolerance in opiate naive individuals, but there is some question whether it helps reverse tolerance in opiate dependent groups... At least, that's how my quick read took it
