During my first week on Concerta 54mg, instead or taking 1 per day, I took 2 or 3 (by remove the time release mechanism).
I want to reset my tolerance to feel its therapeutic effects at 54mg again and take it as prescribed.
Should I take a break to reset the tolerance? For how long? Is one week enough?

108 or 162mg of methylphenidate is a very high dose when chewing or removing time release. even with the time release that's a lot. you're putting stress on your heart. I'm not saying its a bad idea, its more euphoric than meth and cocaine! but take breaks for your heart, with those doses you don't have to worry about tolerance as much as a heart attack and becoming psychologically addicted

I forgot to add that I was redosing and not taking it all at once, but you're right it did put a lot of stress on heart

Does anyone have experience with this?
Will I be able to have therapeutic effects again?
