Eyes wandering the surfaces around me
as my mind seeks
something to grasp.

Cold surrounds me
and trembling hands set loose
that which seeks meaning.

Diving, delving,
in around between,
the words that fall
like drops of rain.

Each with no more meaning
or import
than the tiny splash
one drop might make
falling to earth
among billions.

But together, perhaps
they achieve something.

^^^ ooh, you like plath? let's talk =D

anyway, this --

the words that fall
like drops of rain.

Each with no more meaning
or import
than the tiny splash
one drop might make
falling to earth

-- is really wonderful :)

I find Plath at once beautiful and disturbing ... sort of like watching a wild animal hunt its prey. Plath is at once very obvious and subtle with her word play. I think potato holds some of the same qualities

Also, most of the beauty of Plath's work lies in her relatively simple images ... this i also believe Potato uses

God how i miss studying poetry - silly arts person me :p :D

One two three four - if you wanna talk Plath PM me or call me =D
