Today I found my biggest fear lays in the darkness
It is hidden, tucked away, in every man, child, and woman
Locked away in the abyss
It is found in her eyes
Hers, passing you on the street
It is found in a small town suburban home
With the white picket fence
Protecting the Essence of the dream
Tucked underneath that house
Today I met my fear
It was these children playing in the rain
The image of their secret pain
To grow up and join the machine
It was a teacher parent effort to take their magic away
Because they won't say how that magic made them afraid
So on those sunny days
I sit outside, waiting for it to rain
For the rain takes me back to that magic place
Today I faced my fear
I stepped in front of the mirror
And looked past the reflection
Past the mask they sold me
Past that still frame and windows of my soul
Into the blackness, a deeper contrast of the pre-spoken memories
They told me that we are all just memories
Waiting to be found, waiting to be seen
Forming a tunnel of polaroid images
I walk further and I what I saw brought tears to my eyes
The magic locked away with the dance of life
It was no longer a game, I started to question previous lesson
I still had that magic locked away, they coulden't take it away
Only we have that power, and we choose what to do with it
So stop pointing fingers
Today I found our biggest fear
It's in every man, woman, and child
It's in her eyes
Hers, the one walking past you down the streets
In the old suburban home with the picket fence
Tucked under blankets
It's in his eyes, his, the one walking down the street, right past you
A whole life, a whole world, walking right past you
And we will never see it
Oh the beauty, the fear that we are all infinitely powerfull
We are so afraid we are scaring ourselves
So afraid that we are all god

This is an amazing poem man. Really powerful. I can totally relate to the childhood magic and the fear of losing it.
