I have been doing it for 12 years and it rarely has failed. Until that dr. has walked a mile in your shoes he doesnt know what meds or what doses work for you. Everyone is different when it comes to medication. It does help I was studying to be a pharm tech and i know a good deal about meds. Scheduled ones at least.

being from Florida I told them the quantities and what meds work best for my pain. That is my past. I no longer abuse meds. Sometimes you have to lean on these croakers kind of hard. If he doesn't budge, bring your business elsewhere. If your paying cash and him and you do not come to an agreement, he doesnt get paid for the dr visit.

In my past I have told them straight" this woks well and if you don't write it , you don't get paid for your visit" I have had them chase me down saying ok ok ok.

What? You pay before the session, they get your money no matter what. You can't just go to a session and say, "I want this, this and this and if you won't you don't get paid". Only has one doctor let me tell her what I wanted but that was because she was a nurse practitioner. But if she didn't agree I didn't get to say I want my money back. I doesn't work that way, you must have been lucky with finding the right doctors. If you ask for all controlled substances you may be looked upon as a drug seeker and then they are allowed to deny you certain medications, just as much as they would deny a medicine if it had a harmful interaction with another. I wish all doctors would do what your saying. Then I could get anything I wanted.

"I want oxymorphone and oxycodone or I'm not paying you" lol

Well, some of us are in HMOs and don't have a choice. I have arthritis that my rheumatologist says is amongst the worst he has ever seen for my age and yet my GP only prescribes 5mg of roxi per day and lectures me about how much trouble this is going to cause me with addiction and constipation...

I was also warned that if I try to go to any other doctor outside their system that they would be alerted through the pharmacy. (Though I don't know if only the pharmacies in California are linked like this or if it is nation-wide?)

So consider yourself lucky...

I'll bet you've never even tried saying that, have you? Works for me too. All the time. Even got LSD like this once.

This is wildly inappropriate, please read over the BDD guidelines and if you have any questions, please feel free to PM me.
