For the time you said I never deserved anything you had every done for me,
I forgive you.
For the time you terrorized me at the daycare where I worked just to take my cell phone away because I had not called you in a week,
I forgive you.
For the countless beatings with shoes, belts, wooden salad spoons, and most of all your hands,
I forgive you.
For abandoning my sister and I because we did not agree with your beliefs,
I forgive you.
For forcing me to become Catholic because you felt guilty about your own past,
I forgive you.
For taking a trip to Rome instead of paying for your other daughter's surgery,
I forgive you.
For buying a three hundred dollar dog instead of paying child support,
I forgive you.
For telling me that you have hated the last ten years of your life and did not even want kids,
I forgive you.
For hurting my godmother and your former best friend because she tried to stand up for us,
I forgive you.
For causing my mother so much stress over the last year and a half and ending your marraiage of 23 years,
I forgive you.
For the countless hours of therapy and types of medication,
I forgive you.
For leaving me fatherless,
I forgive you.
For all of these I forgive,
But I do not forget.

those seem like very difficult things to forgive a person for, especially one as close as a father. deeply saddening.

*hugs*
