I'm anorexic so I often rely on a lot of coffee and sugar-free energy drinks to get through the day [and to self-medicate for Orthostatic Hypotension].

I'm currently in opioid withdrawal and haven't had any caffeine because I'm worried it will worsen the anxiety from withdrawal...but I am EXHAUSTED.
Should I have some coffee to get enough energy to function or will it trigger more anxiety?

Usually before I put things like that in my body I do a quick assessment (even though I drink multiple cups of coffee every day):

What do I need this for, and how will it affect my current mindset?

If you have something you need to stay up for that requires mental sharpness, I'd say go for it. If the task is important enough, it might become the focus more than the anxiety is right now. But if you don't really have anything to do, I'd say don't risk it - as you said it may just wind you up, and with nowhere to go, on top of already being in an anxious state, I can't see how that would ever be a good thing.

Something I'm trying to learn is to be okay with boredom.

Maybe try meditation. Day dream.

Planning for the future, good things or contingency plans, may help you navigate things easier when life throws you curveballs. Maybe take the downtime you have to make the future run more smoothly.

Thanks for the advice!
Yeah, boredom can be a huge issue, especially once you enter the stage of withdrawal [usually day 2 for me] when time seems to crawlllllll and every minute feels like an hour. I generally go a good book, a bingeable show, or my switch.

I decided to have two [large] cups of coffee because I have a few Gabapentin to take with them and it's a good combo as the Gabapentin cancels out the anxiety from caffeine and caffeine actually potentiates Gabapentin. I'm not gonna have any more coffee, though. Especially as I can easily get through a gallon of Coke Zero per day.

When wd NOTHING is the best medicine even no food will make your wd not last as long. Your body is hungry it needs food so when you dont eat it starts eating its own fat, this fat has alot of shit stored up in it. It kinda sux not eating but it will make wd not last as long. Turmeric and black seed oil can help. If i take black seed oil for 3 weeks while doing ops when I stop the Wd is almost non existent. Its their but just watering eyes and the sniffles not full on shaking and kicking. Kratom can also help for 4 dollars I can get 50 pills I take 12 of them and it gets rid of WD completely and allows one to sleep but dont expect to get high because you will not get high on kratom after taking stronger opiates for more then a few days in a row. If you dont mind me asking what causes your anorexiea?

Careful about black seed extract and turmeric. This Combe has cussed severe liver damage in some people.
That said, I don’t think caffeine changes anything. You just need to tough it out, if caffeine helps, go for it. Either way, you need to suffer however long it takes…

I always say.. don't double down on withdrawals. Withdrawal from one thing at a time and keep the less fucked up ones for another day when you aren't at your weakest already. Each to their own but to me its just throwing the body through a lot of shock to suddenly pull all the substances its used to away.

i love caffeine ... has anyone tried the 400mg ice coffees

No which ones?

I liked the monster javas.

When I started sobriety off meth I'd have a couple Bangs a day (300)

What's the 400mg one? AI can sometimes regurgitate garbage
