I suspect that this will never reach who it's intended for, but i still felt compelled to write it.

Hate me, berate me
Leave me broken on the ground once more
I see the needle stuck in your arm once more
A constant cycle of running, running
All in circles, traveling nowhere

I see it all from far away, intermingled font on digital hardware
Trapped in billions of 0’s and 1’s
Across the gateway of cyberspace where you lay
An escape from something, too deep, too painful to see
A thought abandoned till clenched fists, pouring tears in fits of withdrawal
I can’t pretend to understand what it’s like to have felt your pain.
But, clinging remains of nightmares yet to come feel awfully close

A polished human form of muscle and bone
Your chiseled armor of flesh is somehow not enough
Behind your display of strength and defense
Lays a soul, too scarred, too innocent to show

But, before you push that plunger once again,
Know that my word is true to you
I haven’t betrayed my promise.

I know what it’s like to be constantly moving, but never traveling
Feet flailing in nervous thought
Knowing the only true answers come from within
Forever hoping to find the missing pieces in our logical puzzles
Eternally seeking those loose screws in our human machines
I can only hope that you find yours in time.
