Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival
Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is a four-day, multi-stage camping festival held on a beautiful 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee every June. Bonnaroo brings together some of the best performers in rock and roll, along with dozens of artists in complementary styles such as jazz, Americana, hip-hop, electronica, and just about any contemporary music you can think of. In addition to dozens of epic performances, the festival's 100-acre entertainment village buzzes around the clock with attractions and activities including a classic arcade, on-site cinema, silent disco, comedy club, theater performers, a beer festival, and a music technology village. For its peaceful vibe, near-flawless logistics, and unrivaled entertainment options, Rolling Stone magazine named this revolutionary entertainment experience one of the 50 moments that changed the history of rock and roll

Bonnaroooooooo!

I have been thinking about making the trip down this year to catch this shit. Hopefully I will be able to arrange my work schedule around this shit, it looks like it should be fun. I have heard some good things and would like to check it out for myself. I am sure that it would be a great place to run into new bluelighters that I have not yet met.

Wow, that lineup is insane. Maybe I'll go, now that I'm back on the East Coast…

Count me in.
The line-up is sweet, but I go go for a few more additions......
The Flaming Lips (they're already touring w/ sonic youth)
& maybe some more late night tent DJ's for the BL's

& alas, I've never been able to make it before this year & have a few unanswered questions (the sight is descriptive about the stage area, but not so much w/ the camping area)
Can I bring in my frame Backback (way easier to haul tent &shit)?
Can I bring beer into the campground?
How rough/thorough is security?

I'd appreciate some "technical" answers & some real world solutions. Damn it I need to bring in beer & some "other" personal things"

although this is my first time going i think i'll be able to answer your questions.. from what i understand you can either camp near your car or carry everything from your car to a camping only area near "centeroo".. you can pretty much bring any type of backpack that you want as far as i know. you can also bring beer for your campsite but i believe it must be in cans and not bottles. you can't bring beer into centeroo and the concert areas although it is supposed to be easy to get by security... i highly advise everyone to check out Inforoo.. a message board devoted to bonaroo

:: PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND ::

We are deeply honored to welcome to this year's festival, direct from the heart of New Orleans, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. For three days and nights (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) this legendary American institution will recreate our beloved New Orleans with their glorious sounds and styles. Holding court in the Preservation Hall Tent the PHJB will present an array of uniquely New Orleans acts such as Bones, Clint Maedgen, Noise Parade, the New Orleans Bingo! Show, and Liquidrone.

Celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Preservation Hall these musicians (many second generation descendents of the original members) carry on the traditions of the birthplace of Jazz.

:: BINDLESTIFF FAMILY CIRKUS ::

Beware!

The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus will be presenting their unique hybrid of vaudeville, classic circus, burlesque and sideshow at this years Bonnaroo. All day Sunday they will transform the Preservation Hall Tent into the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus experience led by Sword Swallower Mr. Pennygaff and Whipcracking Ringmistress Philomena Bindlestiff.

The BFC will also be joining the Dresden Dolls for the late night Saturday Cabaret as well as performing atmospherically all day long - not to be missed!

Hey Now! Where are the other Roo'ers???

This will be the last of the additions.

^Grant, me too, except I am the worst at knowing where I will and when once Bonnaroo comes. I basically meander. It'll be easier to tell if they'd JUST RELEASE THE SCHEDULE!!!!!!
