TN, Manchester - 06.11.04 - 06.13.04 - BONNAROO

this thread really deserves to be back on the front page!

I liked the Dj part of the lineup last year, Mix Master Mike. I would go to this if there was other types of music than just jam bands. I think that the lineups the past 3 years have pretty much looked the same, I know that people like these lineups and don't fix what isn't broken. I do like the idea behind the festival, I would just rather see a lineup more like the Coachella festival or one like Vodoo fest in New Orleans this past Halloween. Either way everyone going should have a good time.

EXTRAS!!

Mailing list email today said tickets are close to selling out. Took a lot longer this year... less interest or was it the 10,000 extra tickets from last year? Either way, it doesn't matter because I'm excited to get away from my desk and spend three days in the hot ass sun listening to good ass music.

And...

Two of my companions can't make it this year, so I have 2 extra tickets. I will let them go for less than face to some nice bluelighter, but I can't afford to lose too much cash on them. PM serious inquiries only to me.

Bonnaroo

I don't know if this is the right forum to discuss this but i am going to Bonnaroo, the annual 3 day music festival in Manchester, Tennessee. It consists of jam bands like String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio's like 7 peice band, possibly whats left of the Dead, possibly Bob Dylan and others. Now since i would imagine this would be like Woodstock as far as psychadelic drug use goes i thought this would be the best forum to post this. I have a list of questions for ya'll:

1). Has anyone been to Bonnaroo?

2) What is the vehicle inspections like?( as many details as possible please)

3) Do alot of people get arrested at Bonnaroo?

4) If anyone got acid or something at Bonnaroo, is it easy to get and is it safe?
5) Can drug dogs smell through peanut butter?

1) I went last year
2) they are only really looking for kegs and nitrous tanks they dont really inspect shit
3)i think there were like 50 arrests or something liek that last year and out of like 60,000 people that aint bad
4)ull find out
5) there are no dogs there

"5) Can drug dogs smell through peanut butter?"

Well I don't know if there are going to be dogs there or not but yes, they can smell through peanut butter.

This would be good for the North America Events section.

I've never been to Bonaroo, but I have friends who have and the search isn't bad. I was told it's tons of fun and I know of quite a few people planning on attending.

there are two threads on this event already going in both Music & DJs and North American Events.

here's the one in Music & DJs. it's 10 pages long so i'm sure it's worth checking out:

>>Bonnaroo 04!!!<<

since your questions are mostly about the specifics of the event, i'm sending this over to Events where it can get merged into the main Bonnaroo thread.

--> moving to North American Events

A side note - to answer questions 4&5, we don't allow drug related discussions in here for the obvious fact that everyone under the sun can track this information : 1) where you'll be, 2) when, 3) what illegal activities you are planning. And you may say that they can't track who you are....you'd be suprised. Be smart, don't advertise your illegal intentions on the internet - on any site.

For questions 1-3, I'm sorry I haven't been so I can't answer, but I'd guess you'd see the same type of inspections and arrests that people normally have at these kinds of events. I don't believe any particular even would be targetted harder by law enforcement than any other event...unless people start discussing the illegal activities they intend to perform ;)

Shit I was supposed to go to Bonaroo. But things fell apart and no ones going anymore! I'm pisssed...

Soooo..... whats going on in terms of BL meet-ups??

Mushman1 is talking about having a gigantic balloon of some sorts.
