40mg TMA-2 - Second Time - Sublime

My last experience with TMA-2 was what I thought was a dud until I put music on and found the true experience. I decided to give it another go this weekend to see if I could get the most out of it. I skipped dinner and dosed at 6pm before sitting down to watch some stand up comedy to pass the time while I was coming up. About an hour and a half later, I could definately tell I was up, but there were no mental indications that I was "tripping". There was a lot of energy in my muscles and I was occassionally a little jittery, but it wasn't terribly uncomfortable. However, despite all of the energy pent up inside me, my general demenor was relaxed and lethargic. I decided to go put the music on and see if this trip would explode as it had last time. I wasn't disappointed.

The first song I put on had a smooth and flowing bass line with female vocals. Within seconds, the visuals came to me. The smooth bass line triggered visions of silhouetted or backlit dancing female bodies. Toward the end of the song the lighting had changed from a dim white light to the red-orange colored light of a sunset. The dancing bodies faded slightly and I began to see a network of highways, like an interchange, in a big city. The city was more flat and expansive than tall and compact. It was more LA than NY. In any case as that vision started to come into focus the song changed to a Prodigy cut. What was once a smooth bass groove flowing over the bodies of the dancers turned into a thumping bass with a whining guitar. I felt physically affected by the guitar, unnerved to the point that I had to stretch my muscles to relieve the induced tension. The visions of the bodies also stretched and eventually faded in favor of the sunset-lit highway. The highway vision added its own motion, but I don't remember the exact nature of it.

The third song was more dancey and light from my monitor, which was once a solid dim white glow on my closed eyelids, began seperating into distinct points of light. The seperated light point became the light setup you would expect to find in a good dance club. The lights began sweeping and flashing in a well-developed arrangement with the music. Strobes entered the picture and I felt as though I was in a real dance club. The music flowed through me and drove my muscles to move with the beat. Had the experience been less lethargic, I would likely have gotten up and danced. I tuned Winamp to a station streaming Trance and just as last time, the music did just that. I fell into a trance and felt nothing but the music. I'm not even sure how much time passed as I lay there waiting for my wife to join me on the bed.

Eventually my wife did join me, and not a second too soon. In addition to inducing a very spaced-out, trancey state of mind, it also made me feel very sensual and her body against mine was incredible. Soon, we tried out sex and it was initially not terribly different than usual. However, I began concentrating on the music rather than my motions and let the music drive my motion. I found myself moving very rhythmically but almost detached from the motion. It was as if the music was driving my motion, but I was getting the feedback. Very fun feeling. I didn't get tired or winded or bored by the same repetitive motion and it seemed to be good for my wife so I just let me music carry me until she had 4 or 5 orgasms. We lay there for a few minutes sort of winding down when I remembered I had something I wanted my wife to read.

She got on my computer and started reading and I tried an experiment with the muscle tension I was still experiencing. My muscles felt like I needed to always be pushing against something, particularly my legs and buttocks. Those muscles were constantly flexing and trying to push against something. I wanted to see if that tension would back off if I concentrated and did not flex them. Interestingly enough, it did. I concentrated on not flexing and the nervous energy inside me dissapated and I was left very relaxed and again, spaced-out. My wife moved the chair which caused it to squeak and scare the piss out of me as it jolted me out of my trance-state.

After she was done reading, we lay on the bed for maybe 1.5 hours talking. Conversation was pleasant, though my wife did most of the talking. I listened and let the light visions and thoughts entertain me as she told stories from work. Only on a couple of occasions did my thoughts get so deep that I had to tell her to start again because I wasn't listening. Eventually, she went to sleep and I listened to music though my headphones for a little longer before I tried to get some sleep. Sleep came eventually, but I can't remember after how long. My perception of time though the whole experience was distorted and I wasn't looking at a clock, so it could have been 20 mins or it could have been 3 hours.

I woke up the next morning still feeling energetic. That energy eventually faded around noon or 1pm and I finally felt tired enough to sleep naturally. By the time the end of the day came, I was beat and slept very soundly.

Overall, I would say the experience was sublime. It was exceedingly enjoyable and did not cause of loss of lucidity like 2c-t-7 nor did it really distort vision or reality like many of the other psychedelics available. My thoughts are that this would mix well with MDMA to add energy and musical appreciation to a loved up but chill experience. In fact, the more I thought about this trip the more it reminded me of an MDA experience. The differences being that

a) this lasts longer
b) MDA is trippier
c) MDA is less trancing

but the overall experience is very similar. I plan on mixing them at some point in the future to augment and synergize with each other.

Addendum: Has anyone both snorted and ingested TMA-2? How much lower would an insufflated dose be to equal an oral dose in terms of intensity of effects?

cool report. how would you compare the body high and euphoria of this substance comapred to MDA.

Hmm, good questions. The body high is, I think, roughly equivalent. Comparing euphoria is a little trickier. While MDA is on the whole a trippier substance, the music induced euphoria of TMA-2 exceeded anything I've experienced with MDA. MDA, for me, provided a more or less constant euphoria regardless of activity while TMA-2 felt almost baseline until music was playing.

I have a followup question for anyone who happens to read this. What substances induced the highest state of music-related euphoria for you? With MDMA, there always seems to be one song which generates an emotional attachment and upon listening to the song at a later date enables me to conjure up a shadow of those feelings felt during the roll. Music + MDA gives me a nice focused trance state allowing me to stop consciously thinking about my movement and let the music drive my muscles. Music + TMA-2 was much like MDA but stronger and with more visuals. Are there others out there which have a similar action for anyone (except TMA-6 which I haven't tried, but plan on)?

What doses are you anticipating for each?

Interesting report, good read. I've always been sort of curious about TMA-2, especially since I love a good music enchancer... Might have to check into that...

Definitely post up if you go through with the MDA combo, that sounds intriguing :)

Psilo, i heard tma-6 was more rewarding than tma-2. I dont have any personal experience with either though.
When i try both ill post a report comparing and contrasting the 2.

Thanks for the report cmc.
The best music euphoria i ever had was produced by 4 ho dipt.

^ Yeah, I think after reading a lot of the more recent reports on both, there's no question about it that most people seem to find TMA-6 the better of the two. I really look forward to trying that one now.

i've heard people call TMA-6/2 like mescaline but 1000 times more potent....sure they might be more potent by molecular weight..but i seriously doubt they can top the mescaline experience.

thought i will admit i am quite intrigued by the possibilities of the TMA compounds.

Had a friend who liked to take a full dose of mda with a full dose of acid, and a small (+/-15mg ) dose of tma-2 to tie the other two together. He called it "klutsbusters".

Might add that i myself did 2-cb with tma-2 once. Great feeling. As if warm red energy was flowing over me. Not very much concrete visuals with closed eyes as with other psychedelics, but i liked it a lot.

While I have never tried a methoxylated amphetamine (I usually stick to straight up d-amphetamine), from your report, this compound sounds like a must-try for me. So-called "music euphoria" is my favourite part of a chemical experience, which is probably why I enjoy 2C-B, 2C-I and dextromethorphan so much (I have never taken both together though, as mixing things with dextromethorphan is usually a very bad idea). I don't have my copy of PIKAL handy, but is TMA-2 the 2,4,5-trimethoxyamphetamine isomer? If so, it is probably the most interesting of the series, as it shares the key 2,4,5-aryl substitution pattern.

Do you get any kind of music euphoria from dextroamphetamine? I have the opportunity to obtain some and was curious if music was enhanced or if it's just more of a feeling of well being.

I don't feel that d-amphetamine preferentially enhances any sensory modality. I have ADD, so a low dose of d-amphetamine is usually calming, focusing and mood-boosting. A high dose (60 mg), however, is quite enjoyable (albeit not good for the body) and usually makes everything (music included) more enjoyable.
