it was there, drenched, sitting alone on the empty train station platform, that she realised that she was one with the world.

she realised that the sky cries too
and that even the world had it's deserts
and even within those vast spaces, oases sprung
and that faceless travellers bathed there too



she realised that the sun in the morning would wash away the previous night
and that the canvassed afternoon sky muddled water colours of tangerine, sapphire and ruby
and that the bitter sky would drag the sun past the horizon, spilling an ink-well upon itself
and that the same act of nature, like in the past, was to continue infinitely.
 
I like how you've captured the intricacies of emotion using these simple metaphors. The detail present in this poem amazes me. Thank you for sharing this with us.
