Tips for writer's block/lack of inspiration?

A quote from the great poet I heard on NPR and have never forgotten. :)

In my op, the best cure for writer's block is just to write through it. In any (short) story I've written, I've found that the beginning is easiest, the middle is hardest, but there comes a point where you "see" where it's going, and it all comes together and you blow through to the finish. Really, 99% of writing is just getting yourself to sit in the chair and open a document; the rest after you hit the first key is surprisingly easy, IMO.

Though I've never gotten an idea from a "writing prompt", I find the very idea of them interesting starters. This site--while geared for the Nano-Wrimo set--is diverting fun along those lines:
