Tips for remaining active as a daily pot smoker?

Meditation, exercise, coffee, green tea, good sleep, !READING!, and as many hobbies as you can fit in your head.

Works for me.

I understand how you feel about needing some form of intoxication, but I've gotten past this with the above.

Bryan, it sounds like weed doesn't do you any good man. If it makes you lazy and sluggish, then you should find a better way to deal with your problems. That isn't cool. Weed does the same thing to me. I tried to perfect every aspect of my life apart from controlling my weed habit, and even still it was fucking with me. There is no way around the fact that weed kills your energy. I have to give it up myself because it's not worth the burnout and side effects of anxiety and depression which I normally do not deal with as a sober individual. Weed numbs my good brain. It's a stupid, deceptive high. I don't actually think that you need to have weed in your life, and it probably makes things worse for you. Just my 2 cents - stop and think is your habit really worth it?

It sounds to me like you are self crippling yourself by using drugs all day which zaps your energy, and then asking for a solution to your problem that can only be solved by stopping to use so much drugs. Of course, daily pot smokers are going to offer all sorts of answers because they are in denial about their own drug habits. Green tea sure as hell isn't going to cut it man when you have a heavy drug habit like that - there isn't much of a difference between weed and other shit, it is a drug that can zap your energy and fuck you up if you use it on a regular basis. In fact it has ruined years of my life, and I am quite frankly disgusted by my own dirty drug habit (weed) that I battle with each and every day.

I think if you stopped frequently using drugs, ate healthy, got exercise and stuff, made sure to get sleep, then you would maximize your potential in life.

I think this whole sativa or indica stuff is bullshit

There's some pretty solid (as far as I can tell) science supporting the fact that they do have different effects.

For me personally its a lot like getting into the pool on a cloudy day, its cold before but once you're inside and you're used to it you can handle it just fine.

That's a great analogy.

When you wake up in the morning eat a healthy meal. This will give you energy to burn through the day, after that go exercise for 1-2 hours. Then I would say work on important stuff during the day and try to hold off on smoking until the late afternoon. Also remind your self that it's up to you to be lazy, the best thing you can do is force your self to be active.

If you smoke all day it's going to make you tired. I like getting high a lot more after i've finished my work. Then it feels way better then just smoking all day and crashing.

i must say that diet has a lot to do with it, i am a raging drug addict on opiate replacement therapy and the only substance i can safely use is cannabis....but i smoke at least 14 grams a week. i work 5 days a week in apt maintenance so i need energy but i like to smoke ALL day, i also have insomnia which doesnt help, anyway if i am eating right it helps me sleep better and it gives me the strength to work stoned. i find i do need to be stoned to be interested in even the things i love to do like play the drums.

It sounds like you sure are a pot smoker! what the fuck kind of answer is that? that is not what he was asking. Pot is a drug, yes. But its different than other drugs. Tolerance builds in a different way than with other drugs. I smoke all day and work. I am a land surveyor. You have to associate work with being a good thing. Your getting stronger, helping yourself. You will get higher if you get up and do things. Help people. Start your own projects outside, make some money and smoke constantly every hour or so. Take one hit! don't take multiple hits if you are having this problem and expect to be able to make it go away. You can take a nice hit, every 30-45 minutes. You will consume less, have a smaller tolerance, and be able to get higher, with less of the side effects that you are having.

Try this and let me know. OH yeah and take fish oil 3 times a day and a multi vitamin. If you can't work smoke and go walk. Just get active and you will have energy even while on pot. Once you get in a routine of staying active it will get much easier. Just bite the bullet and make yourself do it.

Meditate. Smoke and listen to music and just let go of all thoughts. and just let things come to you. Do this for ten minutes or so. The rewards you achieve from meditation are side effects. It is important to meditate every day, rather than multiple times every other day. good luck
