Tips for preventing addiction

There is no way to keep from getting addicted. If you're using that much even in what you consider moderation you're an addict. The only thing addicts can do responsibly is not OD. This is from my 2 years of opiate pill addiction. I have really lowered my intake over the last few months, I don't get as sick. But I'm an addict nonetheless.

If you follow this schedule maybe you won't but there will be excuses and exceptions. It's good that you stay busy to keep your mind off of them. The thing is you've got opium and opiate pills into two different categories, you should really have them combined and maybe do them every 2.5 weeks.

well, i do actually keep several months supply so thats not really an issue. And with regards to the amph, coke, and other redoes heavy drugs, i have a sort of timer safe. Basically what it does is i can choose a time up to 48 hours and the safe will not open until the time is finished. this is how i prevent myself from binging, i choose the dose that i want for the day, and i lock everything else in the safe with time limit so that i have no access to more drugs.

no offense but I hate threads like this. there is only one way to prevent addiction and that is don't do drugs. point blank. none. never. not at all. okay I'm done...

That's the magic of drugs...you just never know!

It only takes once....sorry for the cleshea but it's true, there's probably been people who hadn't used drugs since high-school, but then during their mid-life crisis, they might remember the good ol' days and how they used to sniff speedballs off a stripper's behind, they accidentally find a good connect, and BAM they're addicted worse than they ever were as a kid.

It's just life, man, you can schedule it, jot it all down in your journal as much as you want, but at the end of the day a narcotic-use leger won't keep anybody from doing what they want to...(except the extensive one they keep on the gotdamn pharmacy computer!! Damn em'!)

I'm an incredibly MODERATE drinker (like 1 beer/night once or twice a month), why? Because I'm not crazy about booze. However, when my opiate supply dries up(knock on wood, God forbid) It's probably quite likely I'll drink 5 nights a week...who knows.

The only real way to truly PREVENT addiction is abstinence, (although personally I find it MUCh easier to abstain when I keep a fair amount of good quality narcotics on hand...a nice big variety)

.....
Weed: 3 times per week
Mushrooms/LSD/Mesc: once per 2 weeks
Cocaine: once per 30 days and 750mg per use
Opium: once per 3 weeks
Amphetamine: once per 2 weeks
Oxy/Hydro/Tramadol: once per 2 weeks
MDMA: once per 45 days
Alcohol: once per week

So what are some other methods you guys use to effectively prevent addiction?

wow.... i play with addiction to much!
just sad to see how well you control yourself compared to how well i let myself go! haha
i do molly once a week, oxy about every other day, amphs, well.... just about every day! i used to do coke just about every day as well, i could finish 2.5 within 4-5 days easy! Back in the day, i was major pot head. i have no clue how much i would go thru in a week, tokin all day, every day. alcohol tho... (unless at party ofc) i probobly drink 1-3 times every two weeks haha. sometimes every three weeks, i honestly am not that into alcohol lol. but yah mushrooms once every 1-4 months, i eat crazy shit loads, have wonderfull life correcting/realigning experience, then im good. sometimes just once a year even. but yah, those other ones, well... i'm obviously a speed freak! haha and very addicted to meth!!

To answer the OP's title query,

The best tip for preventing addiction is not to use drugs even once.

I hate to state the obvious, but the above quotes are the closest to the truth.

honestly i STRONGLY disagree with those statements in regards to the fact the only one way is to not do them. I would say the most effective way! Definitely! but if you seriously believe its black and white like that...... its not. My current situation doesn't support what i'm saying, but before this, and there are more than enough examples with other people, i can say, doing drugs once, even twice or whatever, does not mean you are automatically addicted and will do forever and ever now.... lol, i know many people who have done it, decided they didnt want to keep doing it, and never again, they didnt get addicted. i'm assuming either you never did drugs, or have weak discipline or resistance to temptation, temptaion and addiction are definitely different, even tho very related. Or simply your body just hyperactive towards addiction or something... idk, but i dont think you can say those things as fact.

Not to mention i've done a lot of stuff many times and never got addicted, once! only until i fuked arround to much and let myself get carried away did I get addicted. if your not clear enough to see the difference between temptation, desire, lack of discipline, and addiction, then i can easily see why you would believe doing drugs even once makes you instantly addicted haha.

Best Way to prevent addiction, DEFINITELY! but not only one way.... come on.

qhat we ment is of u dont want to get addicted then probably shouldnt even put ur self in the sitiation where addiction could be the end result
