Time going backwards while tripping

Well little bits of time.

A few weeks ago on a mushroom trip, was walking outside quite late and felt time wasn't just standing still but moving backwards in small units.

I was walking streets I've walked thousands of times, but this backwards time feeling combined walking forward created a strange cognitive dissonance. There were a few cars around, and had some strange impressions of them just driving "wrong" -- my gut was telling me they should've been driving backwards

I'm sure many are familiar with the amazing time dilation and Sloooowwwnneessss that many psychedelics cause.

I'm wondering if I've experienced this before but in a still calm setting so the time x space thing wasn't so clear.

I've experienced the 'not knowing the direction of time'-effect too. I once had trouble inhaling some n2o as I couldn't figure out the direction of time and my actions. results in ecstatic singularity though...

A couple weeks ago, I was candyflipping at a party and did some nitrous... Time stood still, then started going backwards, and then seemed to move backward and forward at the same time for a while... It was incredible.

With a fairly large dose of 2C-C, I experienced something kind of similar, though not quite the same:

Quote from my report on this:

In fact, it was almost as if the peak existed outside of time; certainly it felt like that as I came out of the peak. I had a weird reverse deja-vu, as well; after the peak, I felt that there were aspects of my post-peak experience that I was remembering during the peak (even though the peak preceded the post-peak, naturally), as if the peak were like a spatial peak (e.g. of a mountain), from which the near future could be observed as easily as the past.

In other words, it was as if the peak were in the future both of the peak's past and of the peak's future. So it was a kind of perceived time-reversal.

Total headfuckery even just trying to understand what you mean.... very good use of language to explain such an abstract concept.....

Ha, I'm glad the headfuckery came across. Both the experience and the attempt to document the experience were pretty headfuckish. :)

DMT in particular seems to mess with my sense of time. I've gone backwards, forwards, stood still in time. Quite a strange sensation. :D

I experienced time going backwards once when i was on 400µg lsd + quite some ketamine.
This was by far one of the most amazing moments concerning time while on any psychedelics.
