Sorry if this has been covered, I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for.
Anyone who's taken mdma / e will know how it changes your perception on time.
I've taken mdma 4 times now, and every one of those times time has "changed". The first 3 it went ridiculously fast, I didn't even know what happened to the night.
On saturday however it was different. I had 3 "Power Buttons" and was absolutely off my face, but time seemed to have frozen for HOURS. It was ridiculous. I looked at my watch and it was 1.15am. I looked at it again, what seemed to be an hour later, and it was 1.16am. Half an hour after that, guess what? 1.17am. It was great, cause I was having a really good time and grinding with this girl I'd met 3 minutes ago (but I thought we'd been together for hours)
Later through the night time sped up again and the night got washed away. I spend next to NO time with any of my friends as I danced away with "Ella" for what must have been at the very least 3 hours, but I still had a great time.

Does anyone know what actually happens to your brain to give this effect? I must look like a maniac looking at my watch every 20 seconds :!

PS. If anyone is in Leeds UK, I HIGHLY recommend the Power Button / Standby pills, they were very clean, strong and with little to no comedown, and I hear they are going around a lot at the moment :D

But are all completely green (not very dark not very pale), about 4mm in height, 5-6mm in diameter with a flat surface and a high quality print. Sorry if this is the wrong section to be talking about a certain pill.

I cant say ive ever had a noticeable amount of time distortion while rolling. maybe i lost or gained at most an hour.

The biggest thing that will distort my perception of time would be shrooms. 5sec turns into 5hrs for me it seems like

Would be pretty interesting to know, but I think due to the fact that a) our brain isn't researched fully yet and b) further experimenting with MDMA or other drugs (I know this effect very well from amp/meth too) is pretty hard/of little general interest it is very hard to find an answer. I never read something that explains that effect scientifically, which doesn't mean anything, but since most questions about our brain, especially regarding perception are still unclear, I don't think that there is an answer yet :|.

Anyways, I hate this, really. Especially when the perception of time goes into memorizing the experience afterwards. So hard to remember certain things. Those moments where time extends to an eternity have burnt into my memory, the rest is just like a dream. Having virtually the best time of your life and not being able to memorize it fully just sucks.

To me, it's usually random. Sometimes when I'm doing something I REALLY enjoy while rolling (like, going for a walk, or listening to music) time goes by really fast, but if I'm just laying down talking with my friends it will go really slowly. As people say, time flies when you're having fun, and it's really easy to have A LOT of fun while rolling, so, there ya go! :D

I've only ever had bad times while rolling for a short time on the come up, I get a little edgy and nauseous, but it's WELL worth it.

Yes, two minutes feels like a chapter out of my life. Glad someone else feels this way too

Time always goes by stupendously fast for me and my friends while rolling. Once when we were coming down we were all in disbelief about the fact that we had been in the room for 4 hours doing god knows what. It always goes toooo fast :(

no time distortion for me... try shrooms and you will know what true time distortion is

Quoted for truth :D

With MDMA and stims time distortion can go both ways for me -

Sometimes Im on the dancefloor and the lights come on and I think what has happened - the nights over and 6 hours have passed by in the blink of an eye.

Sometimes its the other way around and I feel really wrecked and think Ive been going for a few hours, when in fact I havent.
