Time’s a bitch
and so I wait
tacking down another lost memory’
flipping about the pages
drifting through a silent reverie

sunshine black and soft steel
the tick tock melody of this dream

smoking a block of time
inhaling the frantic seconds
stealing the fabric

drifting back to shadows
unforgotten thief

and so I wait
in these seconds without you

and so I wait counting my coins
stamped with your face
